Some questions

Is the use of "Bethany", a literary device of the Gospel to reference a time in the future?

Is the saying found in Jeremiah 5:21; Ezekiel 12:2 ( among many others), in reference to those who read the word, but are unable to separate the chaff from the grain?

Any correlation to these two verses:

Matthew 24:4-5 "And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray." ESV
(X#)
Matthew 16:20 "Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ." ESV
?
Reason I ask, it dawned on me perhaps his name is Chris? Being those coming in his name is a reference to Christians, saying Jesus is Chris?

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves." My question is the use of "sheep's clothing"...Is this in reference to the lamb on the poles of Asherah?

Concerning Matthew 16:24-28:
Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
My question concerning this, is the use of the word "take up", if it resembles more so "remove/take away"? Being a correlation with Matthew 21:44? Considering, the verse of Matthew 23:35? How can these be reconciled?
