What is wrong with calling Islam religion of peace?

It makes you just as bad as them. Fighting fire with fire doesn't work. That's why conflicts go on forever. That is why violence gets out of control. At least other religions attempt to teach this principle but I haven't seen evidence of peace in Islam.

A lot of Indians believe you have to be born into Hinduism. But this is clearly not truth. Hinduism was once widespread in the world before Buddhism became popular and before Islam conquered (generally violently). There is also no Hindu scripture which prohibits one from worship and belief in God/Bhagavan.

There is no conversion process in Hinduism. It isn't a social club. You either believe in God or you don't.

Bad headline. They're taking part in a Shi'ite religious festival & in doing so risking their lives at the hands of Islamic State persecution but they're not marching (i.e. protesting or demonstrating) specifically against Islamic State. Further, Muhammad used force to spread his beliefs (occupation of Mecca, forcing the city of Ta'if to convert to Islam otherwise he wouldn't accept its surrender). Islamic State are merely following in his footsteps.

ISIS is hated by the vast majority of Muslims. Did you know that ISIS kills thousands of times more Muslims then any other religion?

I thought they believed in unlimited of gods, like god of cannabis, god of cocaine, god of mushrooms , etc..

The Christos 40 some years before Jesus was a warrior. His rebellion got him and hundreds of his followers crucified in the valley in which they made their last stand.
Had they succeeded Christians would be calling him Christ.

If I understand the Qu'ran, there are imprecations toward peace but also calls to assault Jews, Christians and others until they are Muslim or pay the extortionist jizya (protection tax). We would have to say, "Islam is a religion of peace and of war/jihad until the whole world is Muslim (in submission)."

A religion of peace would lead to denouncing all violence. I think only Jainism deserves to be called "religion of peace" as a whole. That doesn't mean there aren't peaceful Christians and Muslims.

Religions, including Islam, are for people. Some people use their religion for peace, some for war, and so for social get-togethers.

To single out one function to the exclusion of all others is ludicrous.
