Okay...do you think you could change "Communist" to "Other"...that would have been better. Sorry!

I understand that communism is a totalitarian form of Government, but in my views it is a Religion as well. Maybe I've smoked too much :D

Technically the choice makes no sense, but in ideological terms I can kinda see where you were going. A Marxist might have a heart attack choosing between atheism and communism, but that's not the worst thing for the world...Right...???

I'd also like to protest...Why is there a category for atheist/agnostic?

I'm both, so it was okay for me, but what's an agnostic theist to do??

Curiouser and curiouser!
Raised as a Catholic, now Pantheist and Taoist philosopher. As a former Catholic, I am a bit of a heretic...;)

If you checked other, please specify!

When I look at the trajectory of a world sliding down that slippery slope towards it's own self made hell, I cannot find any indication that a God is an active reality. Religion may exist but with respect to the mono theisms, their contribution to human progress is dubious indeed and religion, theistic or non, all suffer from the same very human limitations and all are unable to address with solutions, any of the great questions to confront and threatening both mankind and the earth itself. Should God ever reveal a correction for the human condition, with the authority that points our species towards those greater goals we can only dream about but never realize, I be there to embrace it! For that is what I expect of God. The Final Freedoms

Paganism implies a respect for nature. Many are active environmentalists.

Not all Marxists are atheists.

Bah, stop ruining my pithy lines with pesky facts... ;)

In a more serious tone, whilst Islamic Marxists believe Marxism and the socialist basis of Islamic life are fully compatible, I'm not sure Marx would have been so convinced. I tend to think of them as Islamic Communists, moreso than purely Marxists.
But I completely accept your point. You're right.
