The "all of the above" energy option?

Maybe it has been suggested that if we just invest in every form of energy, climate change will work itself out. But won't the coal continue to make things worse? That's kind of what I'm thinking. I think we need to transfer our demand to nuclear and then to solar and wind and renewable. What do you think?

Maybe Trump will insist on the "all of the above." What would be the result?

Oh yeah and Trump wanted clean coal. Can he do it and how bad would things be with that?

I like the idea of solar and wind. Mostly solar as it advances to greater efficiency. Coal is just nasty and environmentally devastating. That being said, we have to find good job alternatives for the cole workers. Nuclear is good, but has its dangers as we have seen in Japan most recently.

The first thing Trump should do is lead the effort to stop tax penalties for clean energy & conservation.
- IRS disincentive for conservation
- Property tax increases for renewable energy, eg, solar panels on the roof.

He should also stop ridiculous over-subsidization of companies like Tesla & Solyndra.

I'm hoping 'all of the above' is focused on sustainable energy production

i.e. energy that can be sustained when the wind drops, the sun goes down, and the subsidies dry up! If there is any further investment in 'alternatives' on top of the countless billions already squandered - I'd hope it would at least be to remove the blight they have brought to formerly beautiful landscapes across the country, and restore safe habitats for the 100s of thousands of birds they have killed. But I'd hope he would make the green industry pay for that clean up!

The windmills are a nuisance and an eyesore. The Arbuckle mountains near where I live is covered in them. Totally destroyed the landscape not to mention the harm to the bird population. Between wind and solar, I much prefer solar.

It's tragic, I had a trip to Europe recently and saw nothing else for hundreds of miles- towering over woods, hills, vineyards, historic towns. Nothing was spared. You could only try to imagine how beautiful it would have been not so long ago

Along with that- anything requiring energy was strictly rationed like it was wartime, - one of the few restaurants not closed down, had a power failure while we were waiting for our food, and we had to eat cold food in the dark!

Absolute nightmare, the main reason I supported Trump since Hillary was touting more global warming regulation and spending as a top priority
