Big, clean and healthy frogs.

Stay away from overpriced French restaurants, never trust a frog to cook a frog! Trust people who look like this:

If you help gig and clean them and be cool you eat free and will have a good time doing it, all you need is a pointy stick and a flashlight. They taste like a mix of chicken and fish and seem about the same texturally. Not one of my favourite of foods but a mix of mayonnaise, mustard, and freshly grated horseradish make them pretty good and they taste no more like the bottom of a swamp or a mossy farm pond than a healthy crappie or bass pulled from the same. Don't know for sure if some Saudi frogs skin will briefly take one to the "Spirit World" and see visions but that might be a consideration.

I would pass eating them.

I grew up in Southern U.S. very common here. Try googling. Yes, they are very mild-tasting.

It's been quite awhile for me, maybe 30 years.....I guess mild like chicken, but a bit tougher and chewier. Do frogs qualify as Kosher?
