I would like for one religion to be an accurate portrayal of life, but it wouldn't be any of the religions I've heard of. I don't like the idea of having to worship anyone or anything. I don't like the idea of certain people screwing up and burning in hell for all eternity.

Something where we all get to be reincarnated forever would be nice, so we get lots of chances to live a happy life...

There was something I read on the internet once, and I don't know where I read it, but it was some outlandish theory that everyone is actually the same person and this one person (you) (or me - we're the same after all) are living one life at a time until we live all of them. Whenever we die, we are reincarnated as a new person on the already existing time line. So it's sort of like an alternate universe, but not really. You get born into the same time sometimes, and live as a different person, but eventually you will have lived as everyone. I think that would be really cool. Some of your lives would totally suck though...

I'd love for a religion to exist that accepts everyone for who they are, and embraces everyone as they are. Legally, there are laws of which we all need to uphold. I believe that most laws are common sense, and can all be a composite of 'treat others as you wish to be treated.' Therefore, instructing people as to how to live 'moral' lives etc...would be a moot point, as part of this religion.

Unfortunately, too many religions divide, but maybe this brand new one would extinguish that attribute.

There's a religion like that. It's called Unitarian Universalism.

There are a great many true religions. We keep creating, destroying, corrupting and regenerating them all the time.

They are actually easily recognizable if one is skilled and paying attention, because they teach how to perceive people, understand them and communicate effectively with them. And that just might be all it takes for them to be true religions.

What other people consider to be religions - false or otherwise - I have little idea. There seem to be quite the variety of understandings.

I would say no, I love religions but I like for them to be culturally distinct as it adds to the flavor of a society. I only wish they remains atheistic and entirely secular. Imagine Islam without superstition and its promotion of a single deity named Allah that was only symbolic.
If religion acknowledge the nonsense I would respect it more
