Torture & bias against a race is not to be condemed?
What I found interesting in the video is that some saw the torturers as in need of
help, but didn't see the victim this way. And the torturers weren't committing a
hate crime if their hatred was for Trump. They criticize the act, but not the actors.
Such strained rationalizing is an incredible thing to see.

Being independently libertarian, I can see the incredible hypocrisy the alt-left displays in cases like this.
They even blamed Trump for creating the racial animus, rather than face racism in a segment of black folk. But this blame is hollow because there were such problems before Trump, & even when Obama was supposed to heal the divide. On that topic, it appears that Obama worsened things with his ham fisted handling of police controversies. But I say the media are the worst fomenters of hatred, making hay by inflaming every situation to sell ads or to serve the victimhood agenda.

One was the chief of police I believe, who's black, and he certainly made no excuses for what these youths did. The other I don't recall what his position is. .

I don't know, but the news that I caught this morning didn't mention any such connection.
One should remember that BLM does not in any way advocate violence against anyone, but the unfortunate reality is that there has been some blacks who've attached themselves to the movement that have said some pretty nasty and racist stuff.

They were adults, 18+, not youths ... but in terms of black leaders, I meant prominent ones, like Obama or Al Sharpton.

It shows how bamboozled the left had become because of what the media had fed them, CNN again, are still feeding the gullible with race baiting, which means such things are not condemned as evil, but are the result of Trump is a racist. So probably many leftists will continue with this narrative that whites are evil, and the gullible will again continue on their hatred towards Trump and his supporters, and anyone who has a different opinion than theirs.
