English and Scottish with a dash of Celtic influence.

I no doubt have some Celtic influence as well. Also, I know that we have at least one pirate in our family, which is kind of cool. :)

English, Scottish, Irish.

Sometimes, I wish I had maybe some Italian or Native American in me so I could actually get a tan, but as for now it's (as one comdedian out it) like putting a fork in the microwave. Just sparks and a lot of pain.

This only equals 3/4, so what's the other 25%? :p

I am at least 4th generation American, mostly from English and Cherokee Native descendants. When I am exposed to the tiniest bit of sunlight, I turn red, and within a day, it's a nice shade of brown that lasts a few weeks. That drives my lovely redhaired and fair skinned wife a bit crazy. Bless her heart.:hearts:

Sounds familiar. I never burn... I just tan, but my husband is constantly burnt.

German, Czech, Slovak, French, English, Scottish and there's a Turk and a couple of Algerians in there somewhere.

The first three would be the main ones. My children are even more mongrel as my wife adds Romanian, Ukrainian and Russian into the mix!

Pretty much Scottish. (And then, briefly, Canadian.) As far back as I've been able to trace it so far, it'd have been the Kingsley and then Morrison Clan on my mothers' side.
(And the Lawrences on my dad's.) My great-.... errr.. grand cousin? *not sure exactly how he was related* was Charles Kingsley, who wrote "Water Babies"

I am as far as I know, purebreed Swedish... I am as white as they get and my attempts at getting a tan in the summer always ends painfully.

Give us details, girl!

Well, according to my mother, her (this distant relative of mine - some "great" grandma's cousin) and a friend were in a car with a gangster (they probably didn't know they were) and the guy yelled "duck" and she didn't, and got shot. If she would have ducked, the guy driving would have been shot. I guess she died.

Wow, that's quite a story. I'd like to know even more. Sounds like a scene from a movie. Interesting, thanks.

Me too, but my mom seemed confused as to why I was asking about this, which made me feel too uncomfortable to ask more questions. She just told me what I posted here and then asked, "What brought this up?" "Umm... Nothing." :D
