First time round I got 120 out of 196. (After doing this a few times I got 145 but it was an effort). I blame it on a childhood wasted playing "Risk". :D

187 - I don't know what to blame it on. But I'll admit that I looked up the name of Cape Verde because I was staring at it but the clock drove the name out of my head.

We should do a states of the US one! See if you can beat your previous record of 10! It's OK, you haven't been an American for a while.

I'd say we should do a states of the UK one, but there's only four.

If there were four states in the US, I'd also be able to name 75% of them! So the problem is the number of states.

Yes, that's true. I'm glad we've narrowed down on what the real problem is here.

Mini-quiz time - who can name all four constituents of the UK? The prize is a 'like'.

I got really obsessed with that and got 184. Got all of Asia, Europe and South America, but wasn't too good on Oceania.

I did turn off the time limit though and had to check a few spellings.

I also now hate Guatemala cos I spent ages trying to think what it was before giving up and googling it. I was happy to see that their football team has been suspended by FIFA since October. Serves them right as I'm sure they deserved it. Hats off to FIFA :tophat:

This game is flawed. There is only one country that counts! 'Merika! And that one isn't even there.

I'd suggest English counties, because if you study the history of England, it's really important to know if you've moved half a mile in any given direction...let's see, there's Hampton, Hereford, Cheshire, Worcestershire, Essex, Wessex...:p

Haha, I was loth to say it, partly because I'd be terrible at it. We could try Welsh ones, I'd do marginally better!

What, Ceredigion? Sir Gaerfyrddin? Gwynedd?
yeah, like that! Although especially the longer names...Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio, for example...which, according to some travel site that popped up, is pronounced "lan-vire-pool-guin-gith-go-ger-u-queern-drob-ooth-clandus-ilio-gogo-goch...

Edit: Well darn; copy and past missed the last part of the full name...the rest is: gogogoch

I grew up halfway between two villages called Bwlchllan and Penuwch, if that gets you going.

That's an awful pronunciation guide. We must forgive it to some extent because the sounds represented by the Welsh letters 'll', 'ch', 'rh' etc aren't found in the English language, but even given that... Is it satirical? :D

EDIT: This robot isn't terrible, actually :p - https://translate.google.co.uk/#cy/la/llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

141. Also, I have no idea why the test refers to DS-Ville as "Egypt." How insulting to President DS, who got elected by all of two RFers from outside the country. I'll report that to him next time I see him here.

Well, I should have gotten 142, but because the test doesn't recognize Palestine, I only got 141.

This is why I hate you and your country, man.
