Congrats Neo. When I wanted to see who'd won, I knew to log on to RF and the first thing I saw was your 'How Hillary Lost The Election' thread. Thanks man :p

Hi Folks...

GOOD FOR HIM I say - you guys just like we did back in the summer, have affectively flipped the established regime "the bird" - and that is only a good thing in my mind..

Now though - can we please put this behind us now..???....I mean -RELIGIOUS FORUMS guys - yet I see out of ten new threads listed EIGHT are about the election - perhaps we should call this American Polotics forum instead..?...lol...

If you're referring to Brexit then no, nobody gave the established regime "the bird". Those who voted Leave effectively chose to remove one of the few remaining checks & balances holding full-steam Tory austerity in place. Brexiteers voted Leave to allow British courts & British judges to make British laws - then they started throwing a collective tantrum when said judges pointed out Theresa May still has to play by the rules and can't subvert parliamentary sovereignty in the name of preserving parliamentary sovereignty.

The Tories are refusing to guarantee the continued application of human rights & workers' protections legislation such as the Working Time Directive & National Minimum Wage. All because people voted Leave. That is the exact opposite of giving the regime "the bird".

Hi Folks...

I see it very different to tall that....Here - it most definately was a case of we were just fed up being led around by the nose lie after lie after lie and all the while the actual state of our lives is directly being affected - things continually forced upon us until finally we collectively said NO enough is enough..They told us and warned us to leave would be a "bad thing" - said emphatically we should remain - all kinds of forecasts fo rdoom and gloom scenarios - lies manipulation - and yet we just said UNEXPECTEDLY - NO WAY we aint swallowing your crap any more !! Yes, we DID give them the bird - nobody in "authority" TRULY expected our response - did they..?... ;)

Now they can wrangle the legalities all they want - but the end result and the impetus remains - we wanted CHANGE from all the BS that came before - the system itself was broke -IS broke -and so we took steps to hopefully rectify it !!!

And look - that is EXACTLY what America has just done too - out with the old BROKEN regime - for us a complete "out" as we cut ties with europe and become our own authority again - and for the Americans a similar change - out with the old "political old school" which clearly Americans are unhappy with or else such an OUTSIDER and NONE POLOTICIAN would never have even got a look in let alone won...Clearly America also has had enough of the bs same as we have and so too voted for a complete change and took a big gamble just as we did......I believe personally that both these steps were the right and correct way forward... America HAS indeed given the regime the bird - did just as we did and decided a whole new way was needed - and again nobody in "authority" TRULY expected it to happen - did they..??.. ;)

It doesnt really have ANYTHING to do with specific issues - except maybe for us a core issue of immigration and being forced to accept things we never agreed to - but generally we woke up - people are realising that our so called "leaders" often MISLEAD - and it is this two faced chicanery and blatant maniipulation that both nations are truly seeking to escape I think - hence such radical shake ups in the status quo now.....

One thing I've learned about RF from this fiasco is never again take seriously any kind of pro religious arguments from Trump supporters, they're obviously not part of any good religion or God that I know of, in fact they are the anti religion, the party of the beast, the anti christ, Trump himself.

Some people took Obama too literally.

I don't think he was referring to Hillary when he said 'change doesn't come from Washington'...

Us Brexiteers voted to leave the EU because we wanted our country back, plain and simple.

The English Channel proved to be an effective defence until the tunnel was built, and then we ended up that ‘Jungle’ camp in Calais.

Not only that but the elites/establishment wanted cheap labour to flood into the country because it helped them to get their hands on even more money at the expense of the British working class.

Add to this the ever-increasing bureaucracy that was being drip fed to cripple small businesses and allow big business to thrive through lack of competition.

As I see it, I voted in the referendum to give the UK government a mandate to remove us from the EU totally.

When this has been achieved and we have left, we can then rely on British courts & British judges to make British laws again without them being subservient to foreign courts and unelected bureaucrats.
