My FIL is Dying

We got a call yesterday from my brother-in-law, who informed us that my husband's father is dying. He is 95 years old and has had a long life, but it's still pretty sad, especially to my BIL who was all broken up when he called.

Hey Christine, we don't know each other very well but I hope you, your brother in law and your family pull through this. I wish I knew you a bit better so I could find the right thing to say but I hope the sentiment is enough to give some support. :(

My sympathies. I lost my father in law several years ago. I was very fond of him.

95 is an awesome lifespan, but goodbyes are most always difficult.

Be strong, and take best of care under the circumstances. I tend to think most people who are dying would want that of people around him/her.

I hope everyone involved can take some comfort in knowing that at least he's dying surrounded by people who love him.

My sympathies too Christine. My Mum is 92 and though she too has had a long and full life, losing her will be heartbreaking. It has to come, but that doesn't make it any easier.
Old lives matter too.

That is what life is. Good that he lived a long fulfilling life and is cared by people. Let us have no regrets. (My mother is 94)

Peace and strength to you and your family, Christine.

I hope his passing is peaceful.
