Radha

निताइ dasa

Nitai's servant's servant
Yes. There is Her Bija Mantra, but that is something that must be given in Diksha from Guru to Shishya. I would say, that the Mahamantra is one of the best ways to worship Her. You can sing Radharani's Names, and the many astakams that have been composed in Her glorification. I will share some with you:

"tapta-kancana-gaurangi! radhe! vrndavanesvari!
vrsabhanu-sute! devi! pranamami hari-priye!"

"O Gaurangi, whose complexion is like molten gold! O Radhe! Queen of Vrndavana! O daughter of Vrsabhanu Maharaja! O Devi! O dearmost of Hari! Pranamas unto You again and again!"

There is Radhikastakam (words here)
There is Radha Stotram found in Bhramanda Purana (here)
There is Radhika Krpa Kataksha Stotram spoken by Lord Shiva in the Tantras (found here)
There is Radha Jaya Jaya Stotram written by Srila Rupa Goswami (found here)

There is Sri Radha Chalisa (below):

and finally this beautiful Bhajan called Radhika Carana Padma (which I will share lyrics too)

rādhikā-caraṇa-padma, sakala śreyera sadma,
jatane je nāhi ārādhilo
rādhā-padmāńkita dhāma, bṛndābana jār nāma,
tāhā je nā āśroy korilo

He who has failed to carefully worship the lotus feet of Srimati Radhika, which are the abode of all auspiciousness; he who has not taken shelter in the transcendental abode known as Vrndavana, which is decorated with the beautiful lotus flower named Radha...

rādhikā-bhāva-gambhīr, citta jebā mahādhīr,
gaṇa-sańga nā koilo jīvane
kemone se śyāmānanda, rasa-sindhu-snānānanda,
labhibe bujhoha eka-mane

.he who in this life has not associated with the devotees of Radhika, who are very wise and whose devotion for Radha is very deep-how will such a person ever experience the bliss of bathing in the ocean of Lord Syama's sublime mellows? Please understand this most attentively.

rādhikā ujjvala-raser ācārya
rādhā-mādhava-śuddha-prem vicārya

Srimati Radhika is the exemplary teacher of the brilliant mellows of conjugal love. This pure love between Radha and Madhava is worthy of discussion and contemplation.

je dharilo rādhā-pada parama jatane
se pailo kṛṣṇa-pada amūlya-ratane

He who has grasped hold of the lotus feet of Radha with great care obtains the lotus feet of Krsna, which are like priceless jewels.

rādhā-pada vinā kabhu kṛṣṇa nāhi mile
rādhār dāsīr kṛṣṇa sarva-vede bole

Without taking shelter of the lotus feet of Radha, one can never personally meet Lord Krsna. The Vedic scriptures declare that Krsna is the property of the maidservants of Sri Radha.

choḍata dhana-jan, kalatra-suta-mita,
choḍata karama geyān
rādhā-pada-pańkaja, madhurata sevan,
bhakativinoda paramān

Abandoning wealth, followers, wife, sons, and friends, and giving up materialistic activities and intellectual knowledge, being absorbed in the sweetness of service to the lotus feet of Srimati Radharani- this is Bhaktivinoda's conviction.

There are many many more beautiful verses and songs in glorification of Radharani. I am happy to share more if you want. Jaya Nitai! Jaya Radhe!!

PS: It is so great you have asked this. This month we are in now, is called Kartik. It is named after Kartika Devi, which is another name for Radharani. Since it is her month, we should try and please Her. This is also the month that Lord Krsna becomes Damodara is bound by rope by Yashoda Maa.

No real translation. Shrim klim are bija-s, seeds of the mantra. They don't translate, they are sound energy. Rādhā-Krishnābhyām Namah is "I bow to Rādhā-Krishna" in the dual person, dative. Oddly, the ābhyām inflection is the same for masculine, feminine and neuter dual. Sort of showing the all-encompassing aspect of Rādhā-Krishna.

Radhika has two most intimate beloved Friends, Lalita and Visakha.

But... there are many Gopis or cowgirls who gather as companions of Radharani.

Now this is not a mantra.

But you can say it, or sing it, and it is said if you do, sweet will be sweeter, colors will be brighter, and for the next hour you will be very happy.

But it is difficult if you try to say it fast. So don't. Say it just a bit slow.

Is it in the scriptures that Radha has blue eyes?

rādhikāyai śreyaṁ namaḥ
oh Radha the navel of Beauty (Sri) I praise
Very beautiful. :hibiscus:

Srimati Radharani was elder to Lord Krishna
Are you sure she was elder?
Because I read that as a Baby Radha could not see properly, but than Yasoda visited her mother with Krishna and when Krishna loocked at the Baby Radha her eyey became allright - and the first she saw was Krishna.
The second picture in post no.7 also shows a younger Radha.

What does manjari mean?

What does manjari mean?
Not sure, I was not there at that time. :) Of course, there are many stories. They say 'Hari ananta, Hari katha anantā' (Infinite is the Lord and infinite are his stories).

Manjari means pearl, a cluster of blossoms, shoot, flower, sprig, foliage, parallel line or row, sprout, bud.

So these Manjaris are extensions of Radha?

Radharani has 8 Sakhis, and these Sakhis each have 8 Manjaris (and so and and so forth ). The Manjaris are Gopis, but they are more closer to Radha than Krsna. They do not exist independently of Radharani (that is why they are called manjaris or buds, whose plant is Radharani Herself). Therefore they are the most confidential associates of Radharani. They exist only to give pleasure to Radha Krsna. For example, Rupa Manjari is the most dear to Lalita Sakhi. Rati Manjari is most dear to Vishaka Sakhi. Ananga Manjari is the sister of Radharani Herself. Their mood also (Manjari Bhava) is the highest limit of Prema, Divine Love that any Jiva can have.

Some Manjaris are directly expansions of Radharani Herself. Others are jivas. This is very high stuff we are talking about though.
