How does one get into the New Testament church?

I believe this to be just one of many scriptures that proves how one must do in order to get into the New Testament church.

Acts 2:38King James Version (KJV)

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Shava, I am interested in your opinion as to what the "receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost" is. From what I have observed it is different among different denominations. For example, to Baptists it is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide the person that seals them to the day of redemption. To Pentacostals they believe that it is manifested by signs such as speaking in tongues. What does this mean to you?

Well shucks; if it says so in Acts then it must be true. Good share.

The gift of the Holy Ghost isn't the gifts that were given to the Apostles and Corneilus and his household, in this passage it's referring to eternal life, because the spirit is within us.

King James Bible, 1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Romans 6:3-6Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

Galatians 3:27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:”
Well shucks; if it says so in Acts then it must be true. Good share.

I had to google "snark".
snark
noun
Combination of "snide" and "remark". Sarcastic comment(s).
Also snarky (adj.) and snarkily (adv.)
His commentary was rife with snark.
"Your boundless ineptitude is astounding," she snarkily declared

Well I looked at the definition again and came up with the same results, but that's fine, as I believe the person meant what they said, it was just an accident, which I'm guilty of to on many occasions my friend.

I believe you may be caught with your tongue in your cheek again. The verse says nothing about entering a church. Or did you just mentally substitute "enter the church" for "receive the Holy Ghost?"

The Holy Ghost my dear friend is no longer given, it was given to the Apostles so they could have complete knowledge of the will of God, because the bible hadn't been completed yet.

Corneilus and his household were also given the Holy Spirit to show the world that the
Gentiles are now also saved when they obey the scriptures also, as we all are.

King James Bible Galatians 3:28,

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
