Just curious!

I believe that gratitude is one of the keys to happiness.

I try to constantly remind myself to be grateful for all the things we tend to take for granted. Such as food, shelter, friends, books, the internet etc etc

I wouldn't know where to start! Feeling gratitude is my one and only known superpower. A list of all things I feel gratitude for in a single year would make a bigger book than a biography of my entire life sans those moments of gratitude. It would be easier to list what I haven't yet felt gratitude for. That list, of course, would understandably start with meeting and getting to know @Debater Slayer. But it would be a short list after that.

I once went through a years long period during which I could not feel gratitude at all because of a mental illness (depression).

Sobriety.
In recovery we learn to take a gratitude inventory.
Especially when we are troubled which is much of the time.
Natch being grateful for being off the chemicals is 1st a foremost.
Then write down a gratitude list.
I have a LOT to be grateful for.
I'm no longer a slave to booze.
Loved ones are healthy and doing well.
I have a good non taxable income.
New S.U.V.
Investments doing o.k.
and..........................................

Daily I tell my Higher Power how grateful I am and thank Him.

What are you grateful for?

All the teachers and individuals that teach and describe the things beyond the normal! I wouldn't know much of anything without their help. I am thankful for my most revered spiritual teacher.

I'm grateful for the birds and their songs, the blue sky and white clouds which constantly bring life to an otherwise dry earth, the trees and the plants that live in harmony with all the animals to exchange O and CO2. More personally I'm grateful for clean water on tap, cooked food everyday, the sun on my face. I'm grateful for my body, how it all works, keeps going day after day. I'm grateful for the stars, for the moon and all the planets that I've never seen but know that are out there. I'm so grateful for all the beauty I've seen in the world, and the way running water sounds so soothing for some reason. I'm also grateful for how sick a four cylinder superbike sounds :p

Thank you Ashtoreth for accompanying me on my journey, for helping be to become a greater athlete and fighter, for inspiring me to never give up, for motivating me to push my limits, for sharing your wisdom and for all the faith you've had in me. For every life experienced, for all those journeys into the desert, for every storm, every flash of lightning, every mountain peak, for every time I felt the wind and felt the rain upon my face as I gazed out and stood in awe at the nature around me, and the beauty and power of the earth and the cosmos... thank you goddess.

Thank you Lilith for inspiring me to experience the most powerful forbidden pleasures and taboos, and thus expanding my understanding of nature and human Nature. Thank you for all that you have taught me in beauty, seduction, and manipulation... as well as vengeance and destruction. Thank you for encouraging me to embrace the strongest of passions- from joy and happiness to anger and wrath- and for teaching me to proficiently harness them as fuel to achieve my goals. For all the nights you took me as your vessel, and showed me the time of my life... thank you goddess. Your charismatic smile has lifted my spirits numerous times and inspired me to rise whenever I have fallen. You have added so much beauty and awesomeness to my world.

Thank you Michael for every time I remember who I am, deep inside, the part of me at times thought long forgotten, the child within as well as the image of my predecessors. Thank you for opening my eyes to the purest options in my journey, and for helping me recognize and appreciate the beauty of the human race, especially during my most misanthropic moments. In this you may have saved countless lives, who may never know what you have done for them. Thank you for your ability to to bring peace to suffering, and hope to despair, and for every time myself or someone I loved experienced this.

Thank you Lucifer for that powerful motivation within to become the best I can be, that Will to power, that overwhelming desire to become a god in every way I can. Thank you for helping me realize and expand my potential, and for helping me understand the profound Celestial and Infernal beauty Above and Below, and Within, and all around me here on earth.

Thank you YHWH for Ashoreth, Lilith, Michael, and Lucifer. Thank you for the Heavens and the Hells, for all Celestial and Infernal beings, and for the Earth and humanity.

1) Grateful to my dear parents. God bless them both.

2) Grateful for my pain and my sorrow, for from them I learnt compassion, empathy and understanding.

I'm grateful for my wife, my constant companion for the last 16 years, my best friend and the best person I know. I know I'm extremely lucky to have been able to find a true and lasting love. Not everyone has that in their lives and I'm extremely grateful for that.

And beer. Grateful for beer. But mostly my wife. :)

Grateful to be alive and grateful to have a rational, logical mind to explore the wonders of the universe around me.
