There is no sign of democracy in Russia. Putin owns the media and people are made to think that he is the best. I have a friend in Ukraine that told me why he started a war in the eastern part of Ukraine. The main reason is because Ukrainian gov wanted to join NATO and Putin started a military conflict because NATO will not accept a country with active conflict in its territory.

In the west, the media and other corporations own the politicians and choose which politicians to make look good (or even participate in debates). Is that democracy?
NATO wasn’t supposed to grow as it has. What would USA do if Russia had a security agreement with Mexico, Canada and Cuba so they could have military bases in any of those countries?
I do not support Russia taking Crimea but, please abandon the double standard! Let’s judge everyone’s actions with the same rule.

However, even given the potential threat to put the bases on Ukraine's territory does not justify starting a war. A human life is priceless

I agree 100%! I hope one day the UN or some other international organization will enforce that fairly.
As an additional note, the USA has about 1000 military bases worldwide (outside its territory), and NATO has been expanding consistently (for dubious reasons) since its formation. Now put yourself in Russia’s shoes… would you remain idle? My point is, both parts are responsible.

So, I hear so much about Vladimir Putin I don't know what is fact or fiction.
Some say he is communist, others say he is fascist.
Recently somebody told me he is about the equivalent of a modern Franco of fascist Spain.
Franco practiced a hybrid of Fascism known as conservative monarchist clerical Fascism , and I highly doubt Putin is trying to bring back a monarchy or a Christocentric Dictatorship.
I know that he endorses Trump, passionately hates Obama, and says that if Hillary is elected there will be War. (whatever that means. There already is war lol ).
So, my guess is He is what we would consider more right/conservative than the left here in America, but would you say He is a Dictator?
