Alcohol Causes 7 Types of Cancer

Alcohol causes seven types of cancer - and probably others, study finds

Alcohol is estimated to have caused around half a million deaths from cancer in 2012 alone, which is nearly 6% of all cancer deaths worldwide

There is strong evidence that alcohol causes seven types of cancer and probably others, a review has concluded.

A study of existing research found strong evidence of a direct, harmful effect of drinking, even though scientists are unsure of the exact biological reasons why alcohol causes cancer.

Writing in the journal Addiction, Jennie Connor, from the University of Otago in New Zealand, said alcohol is estimated to have caused about half a million deaths from cancer in 2012 alone – 5.8 per cent of cancer deaths worldwide. The highest risks are from heavy drinking, but even people who drink at low levels are at risk.

Her review linked alcohol to cancer of the mouth and throat, larynx, oesophagus, liver, colon, bowel and breast...

God commands Muslims to refrain from alcohol to protect the intellect and general health.

Cancer is no joke.

May Allah (SWT) guide us all to His Straight Path

They can't specify why it causes cancer; yet my best hypothesis would be that because alcohol is rotten foods, and has been theorized that cancer is a form of fungus, as it is always white throughout the body...

Cancer is far more effective in a damaged decaying system; plus as Dr. Warburg discovered cancer lives in an acidic body, which alcohol drastically effects. ;)

My personal opinion is all the food additives, preservatives, and flavanoids added to
most foods are what is more likely to cause our once healthy cells to corrupt and become
disrupted or cancerous ..... poison in .....

Alcohol is harmful to both the health and to the intellect

7 different types of cancer are no joke

That's why God commanded Muslims to stay away from alcohol and all types of intoxicants

Scientific research is now proving divine wisdom which some people want to deny

Smoking is a far greater carcinogen, yet Islam doesn't forbid it.

That issue is debatable, as your own citation states has been the case. Historically Islam has permitted smoking.
Islam forbids any thing harm the body or mind

I am talking about commun agreement of most of scholars.
During history.

Maybe they did not knew that smoking harm the body , so they permitted it.

Begs the question. Many things can harm a body if done in excess that don't in moderation. A person can't live without water, but too much water in a short period of time results in drowning. Shall we forbid water too?

Actually, a person can over-consume, really just drinking and not drowning, but cause death. It's rare, but there are a few cases. Basically, if you drink too much water in a short period of time, the blood gets diluted. The ratio of electrolytes to H2O gets so skewed that the body stops working. Don't remember exactly, but I think it causes a heart attack or something.

Does that include smoking or eating fried food?

Smoking is today forbidden by a majority of Muslim scholars, as we are now more aware of the damage it causes

As for fried food, they are harmful for certain health conditions, I agree, and when you are above a certain age.

So if the doctor says no fried food, then this verdict should be followed to protect one's health - even though there is no clear cut prohibition in the Qur'an - as protecting one's health is one of the objectives of Islamic Law.

The younger generation however who are in good health can make fried food more healthy (if French fries is a must) without causing harm.

Check this article for example:

"The type of oil or fat is just one factor that can affect the healthfulness of a fried food.
Other possibilities include how it’s fried (deep or pan), whether the oil is reused (the less, the better), and how much salt is added."
