The Trinity makes no sense to me. Please Explain....

I believe you are calling God a liar when as Jesus He says I will send another comforter and I will be in you and the Father will be in you.
Hi there, I love how you put that "God, when as Jesus He says..."
You're post inspired me to do a phrase search in the NT of these words "IN YOU" and here's what I found:

Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

From these verses I think there can be no mistaking, Jesus is God.

he is not disagreeing with what Jesus teaches, he is disagreeing with what you think Jesus teaches.

I think the Christian idea of the Holy Trinity is that God is made up of three parts- the father, the son, and the holy spirit. They believe that these are three different things. The father and the son are seen in a way akin to literal father and son, they are different people, but related, and the holy spirit is the force that connects them into one being.

I didn't intend to make an a priori argument for Jesus being God in this statement but rather I was presenting it as a truth already proven by me in the past and using it as an argument that Jesus did preach the Trinity. I just want those who think other wise to see how far from God their ideas are.

he is not disagreeing with what Jesus teaches, he is disagreeing with what you think Jesus teaches.

I believe I only think it because it is. The text is there for all to see. However some prefer not to see, having some false idea instilled in their heads from a false teacher.

I think the Christian idea of the Holy Trinity is that God is made up of three parts- the father, the son, and the holy spirit. They believe that these are three different things. The father and the son are seen in a way akin to literal father and son, they are different people, but related, and the holy spirit is the force that connects them into one being.

I believe as a Christian that would not be my belief of the Trinity. Sometimes I am viewed as a heretic for viewing it differently but I don't believe what you said about the Trinity makes any sense.

I believe God is one and not made of parts.

I do believe those are the members of the Trinity.

I believe things are creations and God is not a creation.

I believe the kinship is a lot different from what is normally considered father and son. The Father can be considered a father by having produced the conception in Mary. By the same token Jesus can be construed as His son. However the material changes do not change the immutable God who remains the same before and after.

I believe these statements can be proven to be false.
