God Does Not Expect Us to be Perfect ... We are not Angels

One of the reasons some believers lose hope and faith is sadness after committing sins and mistakes

It is true that God dislikes sins (major sins and minor sins), but at the same time He knows we are not angels.

When a believer sins, he or she should immediately repent and ask God to forgive, as this is what God loves, and this is the way back to His Straight Path.

What is important is to persevere, to recognize our mistakes, and to do our best not to repeat them in the future.

That is the process of self development and (Tazkiyyah) to purify the soul and to reach higher levels of faith, spirituality and peace.

If you are really searching for peace, recognize your mistakes, ask God to forgive, and He will accept your sincere repentance In-Shaa-Allah

He is the Most-Merciful, the Most Kind

There is Always a Way Out

How many times have you found yourself in a difficult situation when you could see no way out?

There is always a way out.

We often forget that God tells us in the Qur'an to ask Him and He will respond.

He says:

"And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near.
I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.
.." (2:186)

And when He responds, you will find peace In-Shaa-Allah

If you are searching for inner peace, ask Him to give you that tranquility you are looking for ...

And He will respond In-Shaa-Allah

Don't Be Sad About the Past & Don't Worry About the Future

When people go through difficult times of worries, it is often related either to feeling sad about what happened in the past, or worrying about the future.

These are two ways Satan keeps a believer preoccupied from living well today and from finding peace.

If you think of it, today is all what you have.

You can't change what happened in the past.

At the same time, the future has not yet arrived.

So focus on today, and don't worry, if you are searching for peace.

Trust in God, and He will help you out.

Remember Allah

Hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allah

When you are facing problems and feel you need a faith boost, remember Allah

Remember that one day you will return to Him, and that one day He will admit you into Heaven by His mercy, In-Shaa-Allah

Whatever problems you may face which cause you to lose inner peace would disappear when you remember Him

Praise Him before sunrise and before sunset, and remember Him throughout the day

If you are really searching for peace, don't forget Allah

Fast Ramadan to Grow in Peace

Fasting is a very humbling experience which benefits a believer.

By abstaining from food and drink from dawn to sunset, we usually feel weak by the end of the day, especially fasting during the long summer days.

But there are many benefits to fasting, especially on the spiritual side.

We starve the body for a whole month to nourish the soul.

Fasting makes us more humble, as we get a stronger feeling of how much we are in need of God, and that without Him we are nothing.

This feelings helps us come closer to Him, bringing peace to the heart.

If you are really searching for peace, do your best to fast Ramadan.

May it be a blessed month for all.

Follow the Footsteps of the Prophet to Find Peace

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was searching for the Divine in his early years.

Up to the age of 40, he would spend a lot of his time contemplating on this amazing universe searching for its Creator.

He would often spend many days and nights in a cave outside Makkah in a spiritual retreat searching for the Truth.

When Angel Gabriel came to him with the first verses of the Qur'an, his heart and his body were shaking.

He finally found what he was searching for, and his heart was now at peace.

As the Divine revelation continued during the following 23 years, he grew in inner peace, and spread this peace around him to all people and all creatures.

He, peace be upon him, was a mercy to the worlds, as he found peace and shared it with the rest of humanity.

If you are really searching for peace, follow in the footsteps of the Prophet, then share this peace and spread goodness to those around you.

Remember Allah - 2

Hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allah

Hardships and trials make believers more attached to their Creator.

When faced with a problem and faced with closed doors, always remember that God's door is wide open.

Ask Him, and He will respond.

Supplicate, and He will show you the way.

If you are really searching for peace, don't forget du'aa

Read the Qur'an as a Letter of Love from Allah

Many people read the Qur'an in Ramadan as a means to earn extra good deeds.

We often read the Qur'an in an automatic way (like on autopilot mode), but when we do that we don't benefit from its reading as we should.

If you are searching for inner peace, read the Qur'an with focus, concentration and reflect on its meanings as if you are reading a letter of love and mercy from your Creator.

He is the Most Merciful Creator, and He wants what is best for us in this life and in the Hereafter, so read His Guidance with love and grow in peace and love.

Be Kind to Yourself, and Be Kind to Others

Our modern world of today needs more compassion and more kindness.

One of the reasons most people can't find inner peace is they are not kind to themselves, and others are not kind to them as they are not kind to those around them.

How about a Win-Win solution?

Spread kindness and compassion around you, and start with your own self.

Be kind to yourself, and don't be too harsh and critical.

Nobody is perfect, and we all have our strong and weak points, so don't worry too much about some of the shortcomings you may have.

Do your best to improve, ask God to help you do better and relax.

Too much anxiety is counter-productive, so be kind and you will find more kindness and more peace.

If you are really searching for peace, be kind to yourself and spread kindness for a better world.

And start with a smile...

Calm Down Your Nervous System

Peace in life comes from a sense of inner calm.

And inner calm is related in a way to the external world.

There are many external factors which make us tense and which lead to anxiety, so try to minimize those negative influences, as much as you can.

If for example you get negative feelings when you watch the news, try to minimize the number of times you check the news each day.

By working on increasing faith and spirituality from within, also do your best to reduce the negative external factors, if you are really searching for peace, and look more to the positive side of life with a smile

Don't Lose Your Connection with Your Creator

God, our Creator, tells us in the Qur'an that in His remembrance hearts find peace.

This is why He commanded us not to pray only once a week, on Friday, but to pray 5 times a day, with the five prayers distributes throughout the hours of sunlight and darkness.

Some people ask, can I pray all the five daily prayers at the end of the day?

And the answer is if you do that, you would miss out on being connected to God during the earlier parts of the day.

When we pray, we remember the Straight Path, and we remember our final destination, and remember God's mercy and love.

All these reminders help us increase in faith, and help us find peace.

If you are really searching for peace, keep connected to God on a regular basis, and remember Him as often as you can.

Don't Worry About What May or May Not Happen Tomorrow

Many people worry about their future and the future of their loved ones.

This is part of the way we were created by God, and the remedy for this problem is in faith and trust in God.

A believer knows for sure that God wants what is best for him/her.

So why worry?

If conditions change in the future, they will change for the best In-Shaa-Allah.

Our role is to do our best, and ask God for His Guidance and Help.

If you are really searching for peace, don't worry about the future. All matters will sort out In-Shaa-Allah

Protect Your Heart from the Glitter of this Worldly Life

We are often put into situations where we are tempted by money, power or other worldly matters.

What would happen to the heart of a believer if it gets attached to some of these worldly matters?

The answer is pleasing God is no longer his or her focus.

If the love of this world enters the heart, the love of God decreases.

The more a believer loves this world, the less he or she will love Allah.

This will eventually lead to a loss of contentment, as by loving the material issues of this world, a believer will always want more money, more power, more fame, .... etc.

Don't be that person, as if you lose contentment, you would lose inner peace.

If you are really searching for peace, protect your heart from worldly temptations.
