Has Jesus Evolved?

Let's assume that Jesus has evolved or become more enlightened in 2000 years. What do you think he would be saying today? Is it possible that Jesus could be more enlightened?

lol, dont you just love how threads build on each other? This is much like your thread on Jesus walkin among us. I believe that Jesus was God, only made man as to better communicate with us. I beleive that God is in the past, present, and future, and he knows everything we have and will do/done. I think God created Jesus to suite the period in which he lived. Why God picked this time period, I do not know. Some things are only meant for God to know.

To answer you question, I believe that Jesus would have basically taught the same principles, only use different techniques. Jesus flamboyantly procalaimed he was the son of God. Although many people did not approve of him, he was exactly what some people were looking for, a messiah. Today, I think he would use some of the same techneques christians try to use in everyday evangelism. Only he would use them correctly and say the right thing at the wrong time, instead to the alternative.

I should say "son of man" or "god made man" or "God". very good point, i am also a son of God

P.S., why do you not put the "o" on God? why do you type it G-d?

NO!

Heb 13:8
Jesus Christ is the sameyesterday and today and for ever.

That is the case becuase Jesus Christ is no longer on Earth and therefore has no need to change. Noone on this thread is saying that he has changed it was more a hypothetical question asking "what if jesus were here on earth today?"

We are commanded not to deface or erase the Name of HaShem so to be very careful many observant jews will type G-d as opposed to spelling it all the way out.
Better safe than sorry! :jiggy:

If He were to be here today He would be in Jerusalem looking much like any other Tzaddik, proabably much like Rabbi Richmond of the Temple Institute.org

Jesus' message is timeless. I don't think there's much to change.
very well put. although the people would have different ways of thinking and their priorities in different orders, the message would be the same

I, for one, would fully support institutionalization.

If you read the Infancy narratives, he was an insufferable *** - just the kind of miscreant one might expect to grow up and kill fig trees out of spite. Of course, given the purported actions of YHWH, one might be tempted to say: like father, like son.

If Christ were to have come today and not 2000 years ago what would be different? His message would be the same, everything he told us would be the same. The difference? Mass communication, different examples, etc, but he would be, in the most vital form, the same.

I have often thought that what we see Jesus as, we think we are. In other words if you see him as a teacher, maybe you are a teacher. I think he is a mirror in which we see our own selves or soul. As we evolve he evolves.

first Jesus is not dead. secondly Jesus will come back in physical form just read the book of revelation if you want to know what exactly will happen. Thirdly I tend to think that Jesus would walk around the earth teaching people he would be like a wise sage taveling around the world healing people and asking them questions and teaching in parables like he did before.

If only the righteous are going to be saved, why would he walk around earth teaching people? Aren't the righteous going to heaven to be with God, who is Jesus? Aren't those left on earth the people who didn't get it? Isn't armageddon supposed to separate the bad from the good?

I substantially agree with you, Lightkeeper. I think how a person sees Jesus is largely determined by themselves, rather than by any objective measure. Usually, for those who believe in Jesus, Jesus is a reflection of their own spirituality.

well since God is not a name, but a title.there is nothing that could possibly happen if the 'o' gets erased.
