Muslim brothers & sisters, please read this

My brothers & sisters, after many years of researching religions and seeking the truth (for me), being active* in Jewish community, Christian (Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant) & Buddhist (Tibetan), reading about spirituality, faith, world, everything around which is visible and invisible I stand before you and with my heart and soul I testify:
لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله
[There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is Allah's messenger]

At midnight I fast until the midnight next day** to "clean my body and soul" then I will go to local mosque and testify what I testified to you brothers and sisters with this thread. Inshallah, community there will teach me to perform salah the same day & Allah will guide me to be a better human.

Peace be upon you all brothers and sisters.

Masha Allah. May Allah guide us all to what is pleasing to him.

As for the day start time, a 24 hour day begins at sunset and end at sunset. Muslims fast only during daylight hours.

I was thinking of that just now more, and I shall do it as my brothers do it from sunset to sunset.

Fasting in Islam starts at dawn (Fajr) and ends at sunset(Maghrib).Like Gharib mentioned we only fast during daylight hours.

Peace be on you.
You are free in your approaches to Islam.
Please allow me to say few things.
1=The Shahada translation
There is no god but Allah, Muhammad was Allah's messenger.
Here was has to be is, according to my knowledge....It is continuous fact. Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) is Messenger of Allah towards all people till Hereafter.

2=If possible please add following in your extended studies:
http://www.alislam.hr/

3=May Allah grant you all blessings. Aameen.

4=There are many issues in Croatia, Bosnia and all that region. You have to take the message to all.

Thank you for the welcome. I am still learning salah (words) it's going to take few more days in my conclusions.
Learning something by heart in Arabic is at the moment very hard for me.

Here's a good tip for you, it helped me in my childhood.

Write the English transliteration of the Arabic words you want to learn. For example.

The first 7 verses of the Qur'an in Surah-al-Fatiha would look like this.

1) Bismillah hir Rahmaan nir Raheem
2) Alhamdulillah hay Rabbil Alameen
3) Ar-Rahmaan nir-Raheem
4) Malikee yo Mideen
5) Iyya'ka Na'budoo wa Iyya'ka Na'staeen
6) Ih day nuss say raahtul mustakeem
7) Sira'atal Adheena un um ta ilaihim, Ghairil maughzoobi alaihim waladhaaleen.

So if you memorize that in English, you are basically 90% there in the Arabic. So after you have these 7 verses memorized (which is the opening chapter of the Qur'an), then hear the Arabic and perfect the pronunciation. :)

Good luck.

Allah bless you for your help. I'm currently (sadly) occupied with other issues so I'll have to postpone learning Arabic but I'm trying to memorize the Opening.

Peace be upon you.
