Christians & Jews not accepting Allah?

What you are saying seems true from the viewpoint of a person who believes that God is hypothetical. In that case God is something which exists only in the minds of people and we can never say that God in my mind is the same as the God in someone else's mind.
True enough. But who would know better than a disbeliever?

But from the viewpoint of a believer, God is not something in the minds of people. From the believers viewpoint God is the All powerful, all knowing Creator and sustainer of the universe.
And I know for a fact that such an approach is misguided.

But why not? If what they say is true I wouldn't want to believe in that deity anyway. I don't really need a lying deity that changes its minds every 2 minutes.
Same for the christian deity btw.

People lie- they have their reasons for doing so. God does not, because he has no ulterior motives.

So are you trying to say that disbelievers are 'All knowing'? Or that disbelievers are the most knowledgeable people?

Hardly. We just happen to be in the perfect position to know that there is no such thing as a God that instills into us the need for believing in His existence.

How do you know it for fact that believers are misguided? Any evidence?
They would hardly fault disbelief if they were correct. Or, even worse, insist that belief in God is necessary for morality.

Wow. I am seeing an awful lot of assumptions by non-Christians about Christians in this thread. Am I to conclude that you guys have no idea what we believe? Or that you just don't understand what we believe either on purpose or you just don't get it?

I believe churches lacking in judgement will believe anything whether it is true or not.

I believe it is not the view that has caused the damage but the superstitions of men. I believe that caring is my ultimate goal. Why would I wish horrible things upon you by remaining silent?
Stop and think about this a bit, first of all it is you who have made this judgement which defies what Jesus taught, so you can't have it both ways. You simply cannot say you believe in Jesus and yet ignore his teachings.

Secondly, what kind of loving God would condemn those whom believe in Him and try to live a moral life? Sounds more like something Satan would preach.

Thirdly, words have meanings and often lead to actions, so the belief by so many that were taught that non-Christians are going to hell and are not acceptable to God has led to all sorts of atrocities, thus many so often being killed in the name of God, and history is full of examples.

Fourthly, why don't you just leave the judging to God. You can still preach, but you don't have to condemn.

Therefore if Jews worship Allah, then Muslims worship G-d.
Correct-- same Guy, different names due to different languages.

BTW, if my memory is correct, I believe there's around 15 names for God in Hebrew.

Try me on this-- I used to teach Christian theology. Therefore, be specific on what we supposedly do not understand.

I tell you what. Go back and read the posts in this thread. If I were to list them all I would tire quickly. If you want to list them, go for it.

It is you who brought this rather snarky point in your post up, not I. Point out where I and other non-Christians are supposedly wrong about Christian dogma, and go for it. However, let me point out that not all Christians are on the same page either.

Ummm .. what leads you to that conclusion?
Jewish belief dictates that God ended the era of prophecy at a certain point.

Both Jesus and Muhammad followers claim that those individuals were prophets. Therefore, the Jewish God figure (for it to be identical with that of those other 2 religions) must have lied.

Do Jews and Christians believe Allah is their God?

Whats interesting is how Christians of West says Allah is not their god because of words they claim such as cruelty and unforgiving. The irony is that they take OT as holy Book, we all know how God is portrayed in OT.

So why are they also not sayng: God of OT is not our God.

Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't Allah mean God in Arabic? If a Christian speaks Arabic as his native tongue, wouldn't he use the term Allah in the case where a Jew or Christian would use the word God in English? It seems that Allah has taken on an incorrect connotation, one that denotes God as specifically described by Islam.

So if I'm asked if I believe in Allah, I would answer that yes I believe in the God of Abraham. Muslims, Jews, and Christians have different understandings of some of the characteristics and nature of the God of Abraham. We also share some common beliefs regarding him. I accept that we believe in and worship the same God, or Allah if you prefer, even though our understanding of him varies.

Sorry but I don't value your opinion very much.

Well, when you resort to personal attacks as with the above, then I guess that leaves no room for discussion. And please also note that you didn't post that which you accused those of us who are non-Christians supposedly saying in terms of not understanding Christian teachings, so the above is just a cop-out laced with an insult. If you post snarky attacks, try and not take the position that somehow you are occupying the moral high-ground, OK?
