Well you can see what harry potter does with little children, you get christian wiccans.

Therefore, thank the Goddess for 'Harry Potter'! I wouldn't trade my Christian Wiccan friends for anything.

I that knew somehow I'd get blamed for this.:p Guilty as charged....I'm a Gwinnettian. :D

The Harry Potter books have kids putting down the TV remote and/or video game controller and getting away from the computer to read books! Imagine that...kids reading on their own, and some idiot parents want to ban these books...why???

I promise them that there is a LOT worse stuff than wizardry in the other forms of entertainment their little angels are choosing.

Another display of extreme ignorance. *Sigh*
It's a shame people don't look at the morals that these stories provide.

I nominate people with this type of menatlity to be the first (and only) in line to particpate in the first Mars colony.

i'm a christian, and a teen, and I think the whole thing is stupid. If you don't want your kids to read the Harry Potter books, then don't let them. But it's none of your business what other kids read. It's so stupid to try to make the rest of the world how you want it, because no one is ever going to conform to your ideas if they don't agree.

I also think it's stupid that some people claim that Harry Potter turns kids away from Christianity, and makes us want to join the occult. Dude, most of us are not stupid enough to let a work of fiction turn us into Satanists. And the people who do let that happen were probably messed up before they read the books. There's weirdos in every crowd. I mean, some people will watch Star Wars, and run around claiming their Jedi's. There's no end to the foolishness. But as long as you can distinguish between fact and fiction, there is no problem with reading the Harry Potter books.

*big breath, now that I'm done with that rant*

I started reading the books when I was like, nine years old. Ask anyone you like on Religious Forums, and you will find that I'm definantly not a Christian Wiccan! The harry potter books have done absolutely nothing to hurt my faith.

Not a solar colony?
Well that would be nice too. But I was thinking of putting little wizard hats on the man-eating aliens that inhabit the martian underground. You know...for kicks.
