Does God want everyone to believe in him?

If there is such thing as a god, then of course he doesn't want us to believe in him, lets face it, if he did, he must be a very lone person, and selfish also, just think about it.

It would make sense why certain people never come around to believing in God in this case then. The reason why people never believe in God is simply because he never reveals himself to them, as a result they have no choice but to disbelieve. God could reveal himself to them through people around them but he doesn't. This is partially God's fault and partially the fault of those who claim to be God's servants.

I don't know... What do you guys think?
Hi Red,

God already revealed Himself through Jesus Christ.
Isa. 9:6
6. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Matt. 1:23
23. "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, "God with us."

John 3:16
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 14:6-7
6. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
7. "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

Why blame it is God's fault? He is perfect, man is not perfect.

Thanks

Correction please. God wants us to believe in Him. Jesus say,

John 6:47
47. "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

John 5:24
24. "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

I believed that God is not a lone person, but a loving and merciful God.

Thanks

Actually, I think God is quite straightforward and honest because according to the biblical scriptures everyone is headed to eternal torment (not torture as it is self-inflicted, big difference) because everyone in their sinful state and harms God's creation...themselves, others, nature, etc. which impacts the universe God created as good in a very bad way. The option offered to all sinners, instead of eternal torment, is to chose to repent from sin seeking God's forgiveness, a changed life in the here and now, and a life of eternal joy forever.
I am not a big fan of the whole "guilty until proven innocent" theology.
Especially from a being that is supposed to be all knowing.

How about honesty? Are you a fan of honesty? Can you honestly say you are guilt free of having ever hurt anyone? Hated anyone in your heart? Been selfishly angry at anyone because things didn't go your way? Done anything dishonest? Stolen anything? Cheated? Lied? If you can honestly say you guilt free then I think you are an exception among humanity. But according to the Bible everyone falls short and is guilty.

But what does that mean, is he a mist, a spirit, a man with a beared, does he live in a house, does he go to the toilet, what is he ?.

He is a God in flesh. Yes, if we will read the life of Jesus, He was born from a human mother, lived with us and tasted death to fulfill the promise of eternal life.

nice try.
But your whole "guilty till proven innocent" theology is in bad taste.
and your moving of the goal posts in order to reply merely reveals you know it.

It has never ever been about believing. God is educating all His children through their free choices. The dynamics are amazing. God's greatest moment is when that light bulb goes off over one of His children's head and they Understand. This can be about any subject not just about God. By returning our actions in time, one learns all sides and exactly what our actions mean. As a result of our education, Intelligence will always make the best choice.
