What's a Belief ?

Why are Abrahamic faith centered around: "A" culture, faith, belief, "trust this old document/prophet" and emotion so much?

Its hard enough for me to find reason to KNOW there is a Abrahamic God, yet, I haven't found anything convincing me these are accurate claims.....

Do you need Belief/Faith for these religions? Can you practice without such and know it is 'truth'?

As an agnostic who has copyrighted "I don't know", I really do not operate out of any particular religious belief even though I attend and am very active in my synagogue. To some people, that may seem bizarre, but not all religious approaches necessitate having beliefs that go beyond doubt.

If all you have to do is believe, there is no need to practice anything.
Christians are just "do gooders" who don't know any better.
They do a tremendous amount of good in the world and also a tremendous amount of harm.
They claim to know the truth but keep people from it instead.
The leaders are modern day pharisees.

Mathew 23:13
“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Be aware..
If you practice what the scripture teaches you will become an enemy to Christianity.

I would compare Belief to anxiety :) Some people have strong Belief even they don't know why. It could be overwhelming and uncontrollable.
On the other hand, for exp. if you practice certain magic rituals, Belief is essential for reaching the goal.

......
Peace be on you....In real Islam, the blessings from Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s.) are continuous. They transform from 'culture, belief, faith" into existing blessings in morality and connection with God and conduct with people.

To find true God, true teaching, peace of heart and mind, good life, peace with God, creation and self, acceptance of prayers, gain of true knowledge, bliss and connection with God right from this world through Hereafter.

What was the first blessing in this universe? Do all blessings come from 'god'? How do we know for sure, and not that our minds is fooling us.

God is blessing since ever to ever.
Our coming to world is blessing, first for ourself.
Our growing is blessing.
All blessings comes from God.
There is difference b/n blessing and fooling of mind; blessing makes, produce and spread like beautiful garden......Fooling of mind is like darkness, uneasiness, no-production, reaching nowhere.

I Am
If I may suggest a re-name for the title and question of this thread:

* How do you define the concept and word of belief?

I Am
similar to faith, believe without yet evidence or personal investigation.

That is where I would differ. If I have not yet had any evidence or personal investigation, my desire would be to do such and find out.

Knowledge > Faith, when possible for me.
