"Why is murder wrong?"

Not even a good try. You have failed to provide evidence, therefore I can assume there is no evidence in the Bible that God ever condones murder. Looks like I win.
Evidence!!! And this coming from someone who believes the Bible is accurate and true; claims their god is as natural as I am, is eternal, and who has a personal relationship with him. EVIDENCE? Get real.

Sonofason, God condones killing whole nations and enslaving their young children and torturing people forever and ever in a lake of fire. What a jerk.

How about a recap of the argument. I'm not about to spend 10 minutes on a silly presentation.

Under certain Christian belief systems, murderers who repent to Jesus can spend eternity in heaven with the people that he murdered (and their families)... This poses several obvious problems, and the video highlights them.

I saw this recently and it was just an amazing argument better articulated than I could of ever done it, although I've tried before.

Thoughts? Opinions?
THE # 1 REASON.... Ezekiel 18:4...YOU , are stealing from god something that does not belong to man take, he gives many other reasons, but , this is the primary one, it makes you a thief against God !!!.....UNLESS, he gives you DEFINITE permission, YOU , are a thief against God !!

Deuteronomy 18:20
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

Kerndog, do you follow all the laws given in the Old Testament?
I follow bible principles, Jesus quoted the old testament quite often, he must have thought there were principles there, that were important to be considered. The apostle paul placed a lot of value on the old testament ( Hebrew Scriptures ), Romans 15:4.....1 Corinthians 10:11. Jesus in a prayer to god, stated that gods word is truth, John 17:17 ,including the old testament, the bible he had in his day. The sanctity of life and love for god and fellow man, was some of Jesus most ardent teachings,....Matthew 22:37-40...as the apostle paul was inspired to write, ALL scripture is inspired of god, ...2 Timothy 3:16,17..NOT JUST THE PARTS WE LIKE ! So in answer to your question, NO, we are not under the old mosaic law any more, BUT , we still look at those principles as ways of knowing, and pleasing God, there ARE lessons for us to get from the old testament, one of the lessons we learn is the things that got the Israelites in trouble with god time and time again, ...FALSE WORSHIP AND UNSANCTIONED VIOLENCE ! I beieve i know where you are wanting to go with your question, and i am up for it, been down that road many, many times !!.....Peace to you.

Or the poor guy who was just trying to steady a falling Ark of the Covenant.
Or Job for being a righteous guy and happy.

The incident with the ark you refer to at 2 Samuel Chpt. 6, is not as cut and dry as it may seem, at first glance yes, it sounds very harsh, but take a closer look at it, MAY change your view. The handling of the ark was very serious buisness, and HAD to be done according to Gods explicit instructions. At Numbers 4:15,19,20 we see that although Uzzah was a levite, he was not a Ko`hath levite, the ONLY group who had authority to touch or handle the Ark, anyone else who disobeyed this procedure or command, was to be put to death, also at Exodus 25:13,14 they were given explicit instructions by god on how the Ark was to be carried, with pole and on foot by these Ko`hath levites, this was disobeyed and carried on a very unstable cart drawn by oxen over rough terrain, asking for the cart to upset, this would have been highley unlikely, if they would just done as they were commanded. We learn much about how important OBEDIENCE is to god in the scriptures, our life is at stake, a good example can be found at 1 Samuel 15:20-23....Luke 8:21. What Uzzah did sounds noble, but was a deliberate violation of what he KNEW was wrong, the lesson is, good intentions is not an accepted excuse for deliberate disobedience. Sort of like the old saying in todays world....." the road to hell is paved with good intentions ".....peace to you !

Yes, I have beliefs. I believe the Bible is accurate and true. I believe God is completely natural. I believe He exists naturally. I believe he naturally exists. I believe God is eternal, and that it is natural for God to exist eternally. I believe I have a personal relationship with God. Yes I have beliefs. But you claimed that God condones murder. You did not suggest it is simply a belief you have, but stated it as if it were a matter of fact. For me to believe such claims, I'm going to need to see some evidence. So where is it? If you fail to provide the evidence, then I will just assume that it is a belief that you hold which holds no weight whatsoever for me.
