The allure of Trump

They use the same tools, but with different styles.
She's certainly more polished, but people are used to that.
His candor is risky, but novel.

I think she's full of crap, but it's a controlled (too controlled) messaging aimed at not taking risks.
I think he's full of crap, but his is a deliberate appeal to emotion without granting his audience the credit of having intelligence.

I wouldn't vote for either of them. If I was forced to vote for one, it would be Hillary, since I think her brand of politics will produce predictable results. That's not a good thing...unless the alternative is a divisive figure who I think would produce extremely negative outcomes for both the US, and the rest of the world.

Does anyone else see the similarities of ignorant voters wanting Trump and ignorant voters wanting Obama? Both are grossly unqualified to be President, both have an uninformed following. Just saying..............

Not at all, Obama, love him or hate him, is at least intelligent. And wasn't elected for saying stupid things, quite the opposite.

Got to disagree with you Lyndon, Both are educated idiots. Step back and look at the situation, Obama managed to be elected two times, Trump managed to become a Billionaire and the leading Republican candidate. Get beyond your prejudices and you will see the similarities. The biggest being how uninformed both their followings are. It's about the people who support them not the men they support.

Politics suck! Both parties are bought and paid for. We elect our representatives based on who promises to give the voters the most stuff. The average voter cannot even tell you who the Speaker of the house is or who is the Secretary of State. No way they know who the Attorney General is but they are allowed to vote without an ID. Hell, you can't buy a pack of cigarettes without an ID for Gods sake

Think about it, do you want someone voting who can't even manage to provide an ID? Of course you do if you think they will vote YOUR WAY.

Yeah, his "candor" is risky, like get us into WW3 risky!!
Well it seems with your reasoning that Hillary is just as apt to. Does she not want a "no-fly" zone within certain parts of Syria. If a no-fly zone is enacted that means any aircraft not aligned with a US back coalition would be subject to being fired upon if they entered this area. Which would be the Russian coalition (Russia, Iran, Syria)....(let's leave the French and Russian joint operations out of the discussion for the purpose of this discussion) Thus if a US aircraft brought down a Russian aircraft or a Russian aircraft or surface-to-air missile (which are now deployed in Syria) brought down a US aircraft it would be an act of war.

Found in the news today.....

Donald J. Trump will take the next step in his religious outreach effort next week when he announces the endorsement of a group of 100 African-American pastors and religious leaders at his Manhattan headquarters.
Darrell Scott, the pastor of the New Spirit Revival Center in Ohio, helped organize the coalition of religious leaders and said that after meeting Mr. Trump in person he was convinced that Mr. Trump was the candidate best suited to be president. He also said that the public portrayals of Mr. Trump as a racist and demagogue seemed unfounded after they spoke.
“I was looking for some subtle hints of racism,” Mr. Scott said. “I didn’t see it at all.”

Mr. Scott, who said he was a registered Democrat who had voted for President Obama, said that he had been impressed by Mr. Trump as a leader and that he liked his ideas for improving the economy. He said that when he closed his eyes and listened to all the candidates, he found Mr. Trump to be the most appealing.

The Dec 2nd Quinnipiac University National poll released today shows Trump continues to dominate.

Trump gets 27 percent of Republican voters today, with 17 percent for Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, 16 percent each for Carson and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and 5 percent for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. No other candidate tops 3 percent, with 8 percent undecided.

By the way, just at the start of 911, as the events unfolded, I started recording everything on VHS, including the actions months later. It is about 24 VHS tapes, each the type for long recording set at medium quality to extend the recording time. I know for a fact, it was a video shared on what I believe was from a local affiliate in New York, a video taken by a citizen from a nearby building, and was shared on TV not the day after 911 but very appruximate but was filmed the day after 911, of a group of Muslims on a roof of a building in New Jersey pointing in the direction of NYC and the fallen towers, celebrating and cheering. It was not a small group but a very large, and obviously organized event or gathering of some sort. An out take of this very same video was also shown on a major cable news outlet, I would have to go through the tapes but I will need to buy a VHS player (which I may do on Christmas, the old one is broken) and I believe it was CNN that aired it, the same network which denies any such evidence. I also watched Muslims in New Jersey in some large room or facility on a video shared on Indian News, including interviews with some of the participants, celebrating the 911 attacks, and the news story specifically said the celebrants location was New Jersey. I also saw Muslims in the US celebrating the attacks which was shown on some Russian news clip of which the Russian news show was being replayed as part of a montage of events just after 911 by a local US news channel. If I get a VHS player, I will look for this and send to the Trump organization.

By the way, speaking of Indian News, last night on ZeeTV which was bruadcasting India News, I saw a video of Russian attack on ISIS Raqqa using White Phosphorus chemical weapons. But I do not have a recording of it.

Gee, why is it that the mayor, chief of police, and Chris Christie say otherwise? And why is it that the only footage of such a celebration was not in NJ but instead out of the WB? And why is it that a supposed report of a Muslim man who owned a party store in NYC was supposedly celebrating 9-11 according to the right-wing press, but was instead just a victim of five teenagers who busted into his store, asked if he was a Muslim, and then beat him up when he said he was?

All Trump and Carson are doing is Muslim-bashing so as to appeal to the bigotry within the party base.

When someone actually puts this footage on YouTube I will believe this story. Until then all the assertions will not convince me,
