when pro athletes pray to God

Pah

Uber all member
robtex had this to say in another forum.

hey since we are on a religious forum.....when pro athletes pray to God for ...divine intervention is it legitimate in particular

1) who should win
2) if game should be injury free
3) if people should exerience fun and happiness in the game

For instance....hypothical, say the soxs huddle and kneel and say something to the effect of ....let this game be free of major injuries, a postive and moving experience for everyone involved commsenserate of our hard work and victories for us tonight...we say this in your name amen....

How much of that is valid

or invalid and why?

We are all related
If there is a omni God (and in my case emphasis on the "if*) he or she has more things to worry about than a baseball game.

I think both of you are right. However, it goes a set further. Since is all those omnis (and even if you believe it as an "if") than what else does He have to worry about. I don't know if God determines the outcome of the game, but since there is nothing outside of God, this is as much of responsibility of His as is peace in the middle east. Although, to us (outside of Boston) peace in the middle east is much more important than the outcome of a particular base ball game. We can not project our fellings onto God and expect them to apply.

BTW- Great question pah,

Bryan
