LOL....I agree. Like the religious zealots and biblical fundamentalists who have no proof of ANYthing outside of their bible, and then they run back to it and claim "It must be so cause my bible tells me it is!!"

Wow.

I am continually amazed how many simply ignore us when we show them scientific proof that refutes their beliefs. Like the Young Earthers, saying ALL those hundreds of different types of radio-metric dating methods that show the Earth to be Billions of years old are WRONG. (never mind that, if they are all wrong, how is it that they agree with each other on the ages? Instead of being all over the place like something that was truly inaccurate and faulty would be?)
What's real funny is just as you say we ignore your, you guys have not provided a single answer for the texts I brought up from isaiah and job.

It was common knowledge by many men of science back during biblical times that the Earth was a sphere, and NOT flat. So...your bible prophets needed no god to know this--they could have simply listened to science guys.

Like religious folks should do nowadays.

The Hebrew record is the oldest, because Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible. Historians generally [wrongly] credit the Greeks with being the first to suggest a spherical earth. In the sixth century B.C., Pythagoras suggested a spherical earth. [JSM]

Eratosthenes of Alexandria (circa 276 to 194 or 192 B.C.) calcuated the circumference of the earth “within 50 miles of the present estimate.” [Encyclopedia Brittanica]

The Greeks also drew meridians and parallels. They identified such areas as the poles, equator, and tropics. This spherical earth concept did not prevail; the Romans drew the earth as a flat disk with oceans around it. [JSM]

The round shape of our planet was a conclusion easily drawn by watching ships disappear over the horizon and also by observing eclipseshadows, and we can assume that such information was well known to New Testament writers. Earth's spherical shape was, of course, also understood by Christopher Columbus. [DD]

The implication of a round earth is seen in the book of Luke, whereJesus described his return, Luke 17:31. Jesus said, “In that day,” then in verse 34, “In that night.” This is an allusion to light on one side of the globe and darkness on the other simultaneously. [JSM]

How about knowing the earth hangs on nothing and the universe keeps on expanding?

Many science guys, navigators and Astronomers knew the Earth was not flat duing biblical times.

So...AYN mention of this in the Bible is just an example--an all too rare one--where some religious zealot actually listened and learned form science, instead of wallowing in their own superstition.

How did isaiah in 730 B.C. know that Cyrus would overtake babylon. How did isaiah know ahead of time which cities babylon would defeat.

And I did not ignore your explanation, I take it as a possible explanation, but know my final question would be on prophecy now

Lol. First off your giving me points of view that are biased. Let me show you how to debate.lol. you don't give me the interpretation of a biased point of view. If you want to invalidate me, you are to provide an argument allow me or a Christian to rebuttal and invalidate the argument. LOL your not even attempting to allow us to explain, and you want to invalidate our argument with someone else's opinion.

You mean except the one I provided that you're completely ignoring because it doesn't fit into your ridiculous beliefs?

Really? A religious guy trying to give debate lessons?

This is like Paris Hilton giving a lecture on Astrophysics.

I arm ALL my opinions with facts, like the links I provide. You should read them.

I also follow exact guidelines of rhetoric and debate polices by invalidating your posts with, well, MORE facts, and showing you where your claims are Straw Man arguments. Like how I showed you that your biblical prophets needed no god to learn about a spherical Earth. I gave you links showing this.

You sound like somebody who is frustrated from getting whacked around in a debate, complaining about unfair tactics, When indeed anybody reading our exchanges can see what is REALLY going on. And that is, you are simply being bested, by deluded friend.

Just man up and admit it.

Ok explain how isaiah new ahead of time what would happen regarding Cyrus and babylon and all the cities babylon would defeat. Explain. 100 plus years in advance.

You can't even admit that the interpretation you brought out is their interpretation. Show me that image anywhere in the bible. Oh yeah that's right its not in there.

Whose interpretation? People? You might note that the image I provided was made by a RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION! You know, like the people who made up your stupid Bible and made up your ridiculous god. Geez, you're laughable.

Exactly it was a religous organization. Unless god has it in the bible himself, then you have no argument. Just because God used someone under inspiration to record his message doesn't mean they fully understood it.

Ok man, there is nothing further to discuss with you.
