Paul vs "the law" (can humans earn righteousness?)

Finally, here is a page you might be interested in reading. It has to do with Deuteronomy 13: http://en.fairmormon.org/Biblical_K...onsidering_Joseph_Smith/Abuse_of_a_Bible_test

This article has made a crucial error. This litmus test was clearly meant for the prophets of known false god's such as the ones the Canaanites worshipped. However it was not exclusively against these specific god's only. In fact, these god's were already well known and the Israelites were already commanded not to follow them. This text is about anyone who teaches "other commandments" then the ones the God of Israel gave us. Just because these "prophets" claim to represent the God of Israel does not mean its true. God defines His people by His covenant and His covenant is conditional and contingent upon His people following His commands. The same commands which we are forbidden from altering. So from my perspective your prophet as well as Paul and Muhammad are representing "other god's" because they are teaching "other commandments". Even though they all claim to represent the God of Israel in some way.

The fact that Yeshua paraphrased this verse and used it in the first century also disproves the articles notion that it was intended to be against the God's of the Canaanites only. Here is the passage again:

21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ Matt 7: 21-23

1. These people call Yeshua "lord" which means they claim to represent the God of Israel.
2. They are self proclaimed prophets or miracle workers
3. They practice "anomia" or law negation. (also translated lawlessness)
4. Only those who do the "will of the Father" (Torah) will be restored.

Its important to remember that Yeshua confirmed that the whole Torah would be in place "until the earth passes away". This is why Yeshua is a valid prophet. This is also why Paul must be rejected. I have already provided NUMEROUS verses where Paul trashes and condemns God's laws. My recommendation to Muslim's, Christians and Mormons is to seriously consider this logical perspective.

Cause we need him. We need his guide lines. This world was never supposed to be the way it is now. But God gave us free will. Cause of that free will we are separate from God. Until we return back to him we are separated from him. His word let's us know how we can come back to him.

I agree with everything you said. But it doesn't explain why you believe every book in the Bible was placed there by God. The NT canon was created over 300 years after Jesus' life by gentiles in Egypt.

Ok. What if a group of men came along and added 10 more books to the Bible. Would that be the Holy Spirit too? Where is the proof that the NT selection was down by the Holy Spirit??

I believe Christianity was created by God through Jesus. It wasn't Paul who was crucified and rose from the dead.
Jesus taught repentance and the return to God's commandments. Every teaching and parable is about doing the will of God and turning away from our evil ways. This is called classic JUDAISM….not Christianity. Paul created Calvanism, law abrogation, replacement theology, original sin, total depravity, faith alone and the infamous PREDESTINATION. Jesus never taught any of these concepts yet most churches agree with most of these doctrines if not all! Why are the foundational tenets of Christianity founded on the writings of someone other than Jesus???

I believe the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. The Holy Spirit in me is down with it and I have found Him to be reliable.

I believe as a Baptist that there are only two doctrines that are recognized: Baptism and Communion. Both were instituted by Jesus. How is that for being a fundamentalist, lol.

I beleive when I write on rf it is God who is writing so we should be able to discern that in one another but someone who does not have the Spirit of God will not be able to discern it.

So when you write it is really God writing??? Sorry, I disagree.
It is God inspired. I am lead by the holy spirit when I do the writing. What I write and what God writes through me are complete different things. For an example I write slasher flicks. That is what I write. But I been lead by the holy ghost to write Christian films now instead of the slasher films.

How do you reconcile belief being an exclusionary factor when, most often, it is out of our control?
I am trying to understand that question.
1. Belief is exclusionary and
2. "it" (belief?) is out of a person's control

Could you please rephrase the question. I like questions, but not that one.
