Artemis, Athena, and Buddha. Anarcho-Communist.
Okay, some of you might have seen my last thread, which came out wrong. It wasn't really intended to be against Christianity. Okay, so here is my new thread. This isn't a debate, but I want to see y'alls religion, and who you worship. I am a Hellenic Pagan that worships Ares and Artemis.

I'm currently taking a close look at Christianity, Buddhism and Taoism. I think it'll be a while before I know what I really make of them.

I am a Hindu atheist and I do not think you are crazy (Jonathan). We have powerful Mother Goddesses in Hinduism. We do not have a designated God of war, but all Gods (Goddesses too) can take up weapons and destroy the evil. That includes Ganesha, Rama, Krishna, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, etc. However closest to a God of War is the six-headed Kartikeya/Murugan, son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. He led the armies of Gods against those of the demons.

Durga, Kartikeya/Murugan (Note: Along with being a leader in war, Murugan also is an epitome of wisdom)

Everything in this post should make it pretty obvious. :p

I follow Ásatrú, a reconstruction of one form of Germanic Heathenism, as practiced by the Norse. We worship and follow the Norse gods. Ásatrú means "faithful to the Aesir", the Aesir are the collective name for the gods. Thor is my fulltrui, my "trusted one", often erroneously referred to as "patron" god. We also venerate our ancestors and the spirits of the land.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
I'm an atheist with pagan leanings.

Politically to the left, because people exploit others unfairly if left to their own devices. . . and many "economic debates" actually have a correct answer.

I am a (holistic) pagan. I worship life. I see no logic for me to place any being or person or even myself on a pedestal. I strive to live a holistic life. I worship With nature. My life is guided by the seasons. Who I am rest in the natural world around me both people and spirits included.

non materialist, non duelist, atheist. I think that sort of makes me a nihilist.

I started as Christian; more specifically of the Charismatic Faith movement; though passed through many other denominations, including Episcopalian. Looked into Catholicism but rejected it quickly. Have also been known to be Hellenist, Wiccan, Buddist, Taoist, and probably a couple others I've missed. Eventually found my sanity as an atheist with Secular Humanist leanings..

I'm... all over the place. :p I call myself a panentheist. That encompasses it quite well.

I have a soft spot for: Sikhism, Hinduism, Christianity (esp Quakers), Sufism, Judaism, Taoism, (Religious) Confucianism, certain forms of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism (Fourth Turning of the Wheel, primarily Jonang, but also Pure Land Buddhism and similar), Tengrism plus similar 'Heaven worship' faiths, Shinto and other faiths in that similar vein with spirits, and so on.

Those are only scratching the surface. I dabble in any faith I like the look of as I believe all roads lead to Rome. I feel at home where I feel at home, in nature or in temple, with saints or 'sinners' who wish to change. So to me it doesn't matter if I call God 'Shiva', 'Brahma', 'Waheguru', 'Allah', 'YHWH', 'Hu', 'Tian', 'Shangdi', whatever.

Phew. :p Out of all of those, it's mainly Sikhi-Hindu, Sufi, and Confucian at the moment. My beliefs are fairly steady, if ever changing in light of new experiences, evidence, etc.

In short I believe in one panentheistic God, in the spiritual 'other', and in the afterlife. I have animistic leanings and I have much love for the environment.

Politically, I consider myself to be conservative but others consider me liberal. I'm probably centre-right by British standards. I generally feel more comfortable with the conservative crowd, usually out of rejection of contempt of what many who claim to be 'liberal' are like and believe nowadays. I recognise that there are issues that need to be addressed and must not be shied away from because some people want to shout others down.
