(Almost) Rule-free chat

Due to the truck-loads of reports we've been getting about chat ever since we decided to make it subject to the same rules as the rest of the forums, we're now offering an alternative, almost rule-free chat:
Not RF Chat

Most of the rules still apply, albeit much more loosely. For now, the only solid guideline we have is, "Don't post anything that could potentially get the site sued out-right".

We'll come up with more guidelines and hopefully be able to give the place it's own staff once we see how things go.

So, they can talk about putting down puppies there? I'd rather not. I think I'll be avoiding that chat.

Unless they're actually giving instructions, yes.

If you mean putting puppies down on the floor after you've finished petting them, sure.

No idea, Rev. Did you fill out the Password box? If you did, that's probably the problem. You don't actually need a password to get in there.

I've tried it out.

LOL @ the sight of some people entering the "almost rule-free chat" expressly to "blow off steam" by trash-talking members they don't like, supposedly no longer under the tyrannical thumb of RF rule #1.

I've long been a fierce critic of online anarchy myself.
