Does God Humanize Us?

Does GOD humanize us? How do you think that GOD sees us? Does He REMEMBER us for the spiritual entities that we were before our physical existences or do you think he is recognizing us for the first time as a human? Does GOD UNDERSTAND us as humans or what it is like to BE human? Does GOD UNDERSTAND us as a man or women and respond accordingly or does He recognize us without gender?

I think that G-d sees us each by our spiritual natures and our actions in the physical realm reflect on our spiritual selves. He also, i think, responds to our needs on an individual basis guided by what is best for us.

Good answer Jewscout.
I wonder if people would think that it was fair if GOD humanized us or if GOD thinks that just because we are humans that we should not think or act like humans. If we should lead with our spirit first in everything we do.

Hello Carredero;

God must see us in his "Image And Likeness" because this is the source of our very being. God said, "Let us create man in our own image and likeness".

What makes you sure that we were already in existence? Perhaps we were given brand new spirits from God? Is this beyond his ability?

We are a part of God cast down to earth and given those 70 years (a norm) to find our way back to him by reason of the "WORD" and by means of the Laws, Rules, Ordinances and Precepts given in the Holy Bible. This same flesh was crucified, died and was resurrected as the first of a "New Creature" (New creation to you). Now seated at the right hand of the Supreme Creator I am sure he freely answers all queries about us humans.

You know Carrerdo, it is written that none can look into the heart but God. I tell you plainly therefor that we don't know ourselves well at all! God's jugdments are based on what is in the heart and since we can't see that well we could most likely be in big trouble...but isn't that true for all flesh. For if we could see, then we could manipulate...and God is not playing games with us.

As you know we are told their is no gender in Heaven as far as marriage is concerned (meaning no marriage) however that is not to say there will be no gender of any other sort. We are not told about this.

SPIIRIT welcome to the Religious Forum Boards and thank you for responding to my post.

I sometimes wondered about this scripture. About whether GOD was referring to our spiritual “images and likeness” or our spiritual attitudes and UNDERSTANDING.

I think part of it is my belief that the spirit/soul is ETERNAL another part is that sometimes I feel “homesick”.

Ok, I guess that could be kind of an interesting question. First thing that comes to mind is, are we complete as spiritual entities? Do we need the body to be something. I guess the popular idea is that we actually don't, that we were or are made from something else like the earth or god's breath or a spirit. In that case, is that stuff the real us. I should think it might be, though I guess I'm unsure.

God designed us -he sees us more accurately than we see ourselves.

We are like him -we act, think, create, emote, move, etc., etc., but not on the same scale.

This is not the same as having the experience of being human -but that is one of the reasons Christ became human. It allows him to better intercede on our behalf -and made certain that we could know that The Father and Son do understand things from our perspective.

23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

26For such an high priest became us
, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated

14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yetwithout sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

So -the Son humbled himself so that he could have a more "humanized" perspective -but so that the Father and Son could better bring us to a Godly perspective.

As for gender, the male/female relationship is analogous to what God is accomplishing -that is... Reproduction.

It is so that WE can understand HIM -and how he feels about us as his children.

He is making the children of God.

John 16:21-22

"Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you

29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself
