If I may interject a little here. Becky and Dawny, I respect the two of you for your beliefs. We are all entitled to them. I also think that the two of you are wonderful and kind people. It doesn't really mater when a person believes that your way of life might come from evil but it does when it comes from a person that you respect. When the two of you say that Wicca might come from evil but the people that follow it are not necessarily evil, that only leaves us with a few other possibilities like we are gullible, naive or misguided.
This is not meant to change your beliefs for I do not believe that I could nor would I want to. This is just an attempt for you to understand what it feels like for us when this happens. Basically I don't think anyone can win in this debate.

I have NEVER insinuated or meant to insinuate that Wiccans are gullible, naive or misguided, Turk.

You see, I believe very much that we each have the free will to choose the religious path that is right for us. I think no less of an individual who follows a path different than my own.

I am however not going to back down off of biblical principles that I feel very strongly to be true to appease others for the sake of saving face and avoiding the stepping of toes...Who would I be to Christ...if I denied Him? Who am I if I sell out and defy what I know in my own heart to be truth?

And I say with complete sincerity...that I wouldn't expect ANYONE to sell out for me.

You should see my books on Wicca, Pagan religions and Withcraft in my garage. I was very MUCH interested in the beauty of such religions and the free spirited and accepting ways in which followers live their lives.

But I had to put those books away when I personally felt convicted and realized that the mother goddess was NOT the God of Abraham.

This was MY conviction and my personal conviction led me to make different choices for myself.

If you think for a moment that I haven't felt ridiculed or hurt by those who oppose my faith, you're wrong because I have.

But it's par for the course. You're bound to step on toes when religious beliefs conflict. Especially with religion and spirituality being concepts that are so dear to people.

I am incredibly passionate about Christ Jesus and the sacrifice that I believe dearly He made for my sins.

I don't believe that my Christ, who is the GOD that I worship...(I believe that God and Christ are one)...is the same as the mother goddess. I'm sorry...I don't. And if I had believed so...I would have continued on a very different religious path.

It hurts me to be told that Christ Jesus is one and the same with the gods and goddesses of other religions. They did not give their life for me. You cannot understand how PRECIOUS His sacrifice is to me. It's EVERYTHING. It breaks my heart when that sacrifice is discounted.

I can't conform to appease anyone else. My ultimate loyalty is to my Lord and Saviour and I don't believe that I have in any, way, shape or form gone out of my way to be rude or degrading on this thread.

I truly do love and care for those of other religions. In my religion...we have free choice. One is not obligated to walk down the same religious and spiritual path that I choose for myself.

And I CAN love and respect my fellow man...regardless of their creed. My God is the very definition of Love. And a life without love is a void life.

So, my apologies if I've offended. I hope that you have a better understanding of where I'm coming from.

One cannot Deny to the Christian World Wicca comes from evil origins.
And one cannot deny to the Wiccan world that some Christians are wrong.

Wicca is a dark practice. Yet some of Manking get caught up in it.
That is only your opinion. Do not state things as a fact when you have nothing to go by but Scripture.
Jerrell said:
There is only one God, and no others...why praise images in vain?
Again, only your opinion.
Jerrell said:
Who are your gods? Do you know they exist for a fact?
There are too many to name and only as much as you believe in your god.

That's pretty much my feeling too, except I'm not so eloquent as Dawny.

I never meant to offend, but like it's been said, on subject as this, there is toes that will be stepped on.

I do know slightly how you feel, I get 'fellow' Christians telling me that I'm misguided and naive all the time for my belief that Joseph Smith was a prophet.

We all believe differnetly, but as I've said, I agree with Dawny.

For dawny: :flower: You say what I can't, thank you.

What do you believe, do you believe in the power of Satan? Or just Pratice magic?
Are those the only two choices:biglaugh:? The answer to both would be neither. I worship the Lord and the Lady as an aspect of an all powerful, natural force. I worship other Gods and Goddesses as an aspect of the Lord and the Lady like Zeus and Artemis. You may believe that Wiccans are following Satan inadvertently. But to Wiccans this is ridiculous because we don't even believe that he exists.

One more thing that I have to put out there...

My life isn't my own. My life belongs to Christ. So, when I debate...you have to understand that my Christ is my everything.

Christ isn't a mere concept that I grasp...

I am NOTHING without Him.

So, if I come across as being passionate and a bit defensive...please undertand where I'm coming from. :D

Zeus is Satan according Jesus
Revelation 2:13-1313 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is( Zeus Seat)thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

In this HIstorical City,in the MIdst of it is Huge Statue of Zeus. He is sitting on a throne.

Satan himself takes on many forms. He is Naturally evil, but can take on the form even as a angel, and likeso as a False God.

Jud 10:13 - Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods...
Jer 16:20 - Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?Ga 4:8 -Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Galatians 4:8- How is it then, when you did not know God, you did serve them which by nature are no gods?

Noe read this exert from a Historical Book:
Acts 14:8-158 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. 11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. 13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people. 14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, 15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein
If you read it you should Get my Meaning. Jupiter is Roman for Zeus, and likeso, ther other name for Hermes.

Dawny and Becky, You have not offended me. I understand where you are coming from but it doesn't change our beliefs. To reply to your comment on selling out Dawny, I agree with you but it still does not change the feelings that non Christians get when in this situation. Like I said before, I don't think anyone can win this debate. My little piggy digits have not been stepped on so no worries there. I know the two of you are not trying to hurt anyone.

Answer this, If you beleive there are many gods.

Who created the Universe?

Are they perfect?
It happened naturally and yes because all of nature is perfect in it's imperfectness. Does this have something to do with Wicca being evil or from Satan?

if all the gods are perfect, then they should have the same will, right? They would all wish for the same thing. and do the same things, becuase of course there is only ONE PERFECT WAY. Now if these Gods disagree on any one thing, then they are not perfect. One must be in universal agreement, if there are to be more than one perfect god.

Now I am not making the common claim that Wicca's Worship Satan. but yet and still Pagans long ago turned from worshipping these false gods, why do you return unto them?

Wicca is Vanity. Turn unto the Living God for he created all this. By him all things are, by him all things consist.

Your proof to declare his beliefs stupid being? When you are going to put down anothers point of view, you should have some logic to back it up, not just a book that could have been fake

I appreciate that Turk, because my intent wasn't to hurt anyone.

Just know that the feeling you and others probably get while reading threads like this...is probably comparable to the feeling that Christians have experienced as well.

Glad to know that piggy digits are unharmed and warm wishes to everyone...truly.

Disagreement does not make something imperfect. Pagans long ago did not turn from worshiping their gods as much as they were forced. Most of them still believed in them and just kept it hidden. I return unto them because of my personal questioning of my faith. All of my paths eventually lead me to this point in my life.

A contemporary Witch probably follows Wicca or some other Neopagan tradition. They are prohibited from harming others by their behavioral code: the Wiccan Rede.
It's not so much that they are prohibited, because there are some who practice black magic, but they do recognize the law of karma. Someone who practices witchcraft has got to understand the consequences of their actions or really bad things can happen. Love spells are a big NO-NO because you are messing with someone else's free will, and it will come back and bite you on the butt.

Another, example, is if someone casts a spell to get money, or a car, doing so, might take away from someone else, and that will come back and bite you in the butt.

But this happens to Christians as well. Have you ever heard the saying, be careful what you wish for? Sometimes we want something so bad, we get it, even if it's not what's best for us. And eventually it will fall apart, or blow up in our face, or turn out to be not what we wanted after all.
