Why would God motivate different people with different ideas about God? Look at the conflict between The Mormons and Baptists. Why would God, all knowing, to inspire 2 different sets of ideals that would cause such friction?

Man made confusion...not God-inspired confusion.

And the heart of BOTH religions are essentially the same.

Mormons believe that Christ Jesus is the ONLY way to be reconciled with God.

In that respect, the Baptists and Mormons aren't so different, are they?

Bullshi* scott, and you just let me know what kind of person you are for denying it. My wife read your pm. She will verify you did. Your credibility just went down the drain.

Oh but I am here, and reading, and Yes Scott did call my religion EVIL and told Jeff to be careful.
Just because you are such a grand believer Scott, don't think we all need to be sheep and follow you.
I am very happy on my path, and Know im NOT EVIL

Not to be rude, can't we all play nice?:162:

Here's a peace flower :flower:

I believe that God inspires differnet people to do different thing because He has a purpose, we may not know that purpose in this lifetime, but why should that matter? :D Just live as good as we can, whether we are Christian or not, be kind to our fellowman, love each other and be happy. That's my take on life (well, most of the time!)

Not at all... I do most certainly believe Wicca to be evil... that's no secret.... I never called you or any other person I've ever met or chatted with evil.... so get your stories straight.

It seems you two can't have a calm discussion.... so I will bow out.

Peace and love to both of you,
Scott

I was calm until you lied to us all Scott, I feel the same about your religion too, Churches are places where love and "do not judge people" should be taught. Shame yours isnt taught this.
Bye Scott, Sleep well my friend, and pray hard, because you have just spoke with a evil Wiccan person

Hope you all have a great life, and best wishes to everyone "including Scott" see unlike some im not petty

No offense, but I hope you kidding about people judging you.

I'm not trying to offend you at all, but people are going to say mean things, whether they be Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist, or Becky(hehe, I'm a rude little bugger sometimes). Guess what? That's their problem, not yours.

I heard somewhere that

"He/she who gets offended where there is no offense is a fool. He/she who gets offended where there is purposeful offense is still a fool."

I believe this, why get offended, it makes things worse.

Anyways, I'm sorry if I did, it's not my meaning to. Here, have a flower. :flower:

Have a great night Rebecca. :flower2:

You think I don't get judged?? (No offense meant here either)

I am a mormon, a woman, ADD, bipolar, I have a funny walk, I talk to fast, etc. etc.

I have so much to get offended over, yet I don't. In fact, I used to get offended on here a lot, but then I realized, why? I've never met these people, I probably never will.

It's not going to effect my life if they something over the internet to me, why should I get all worked up over it. So I don't, and that's why I've stayed.

Most people here are kind, loving people. If someone keeps annoying me, I just put them on ignore. Works for me.

Love ya Rebecca! HAve a great night!:flower2:

Rebecca and Jeffrey, I think you're both lovely people and enjoy posts from you both. In fact, Rebecca, I've missed your presence on the forums lately.

I too don't mean to disrespect but I think the above post by Becky is pretty right on.

If you're leaving us...I do hope you know that you've been appreciated and will be missed.

Jesus once said that whoever should harm a child would be better off having a millstone tied around their neck and cast in a lake, yet God, according to the bible killed innocent babies, as in S and G. So, according to Christ, should God not be thrown into a lake?

The correct translation is offend.

Mark 9: 42

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Christ was referring to serious offenses against chldren, such as sexual abuse, when he used the word offend.

Depends on the translation. :) some say "leads to sin" yet another says "causes to stumble" or "puts a stumbling block in front of"... different translations, different meanings... How could this all be God inspired?

The Joseph Smith Inspired version of the Bible is the most correct of all the versions of the original Hebrew and Greek text. The next most correct version of the original Hebrew and Greek text is the King James version. The original Hebrew and Greek text had been altered before King James commisioned it to be translated. It was not their fault if the original Hebrew and Greek text had been altered before they got their hands on it.

Joseph Smith was inspired to leave this particular verse alone, it being completely correct in it's translation.

Mark 9: 42 (King James version)
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Mark 9: 42 (Joseph Smith inspired version)
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

This verse in the King James Bible is completely correct.

Most correct... In other words, the other translations were not inspired? Only Smiths were? Or just not inspired as much? God only inspired then a little, just enough to translate, but not enough to get it right?
