Christians. What do you do for Christ?

If I made a thread like this, I apologize. Also, I know but not limited to, Catholics (Roman and Othorodox), like minded faiths, and JW do things for God because God or Christ did things for them.

I took this from a post of mine in a similar thread.

Point: Christ has done everything for you.

Question: What do you do for Him?

Audience: Those not in the denominations above mentioned.

James 1:22-27

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:19-20

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Matthew 25:40 "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did ...

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Acts 20:35 ESV

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Matthew 6:1-4 ESV

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

These commands and more say what you should do for Christ.

We know Why you do things for Christ. We know that it is important to you.

Since you know this, how or in what ways do you honor Christ?

The definition of christian is defined in scripture. Here is a summarized definiton.

What Does the Bible Say About Being Like Christ?

A follower of Christ and one who believes He is their Lord and Savior. Also one who has a relationship with Christ either by Church, solo, or communion of like minds. New Christians and those who believe or dont believe in His divinity in order for Him to save them from sins.

Can you define 'Christian'' here? It's in same faith debates, but I don't adhere to the NT. That being said, I do agree with some Xian teachings, like a liberal stance on the dietary laws, etc.

For some reason, I thought you were Christian commonly referred to anyone following Christ based on NT teachings (in addition to the definition in the other post)

If youre looking for my personal definition, I side with the Church by taking all sacraments of Christ. Since this for all Christians, I dont want insult those who identify as Christ's followerers even though they havnt taken His sacraments. (Please go by general definition commonlynused or how you define it.)

what do you mean?

Thomas Jefferson did not believe in the divinity of Jesus, the Trinity, nor the virgin birth, religion was a bunch of hocus pocus.
He threw out much of the OT as well. He wrote his own bible,'The Jefferson Bible, you can read it in the Library on Congress,
which is on line. Jefferson did believe that Jesus was the greatest moral teacher. But one cannot consider themself a Christian
and at the same time discard all that is the core of Christian belief.

I understand that. I will not tell anyone they are not Christian based on my studies, biases, and revelations that has helped me from scripture. If they say they are a Christian and they mean it (their view not mine) I will take them at their word. The definition of how they see Christ js between that indivisual and Christ not me, not you, not anyone else.

That said, a lot of people are christian who knows Christ has saved them without needing to believe Christ is the Father. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit share one nature. However, my question is what do you do for Christ?

The question has nothing to do with Jesus divinity.

What is the "core of Christian belief?"
