if someone were to be a christian, or a catholic, is it against their religion to drink? to smoke?

to practice drunkenness would be scriptually wrong, but the bible does not say abstain , in fact the bible says ....A little wine is benefical and makes the heart rejoice..... psalm 104;15bradleykavin said:

I'm not a Christian but I do think everything in moderation is the key. Is drinking at all a sin? No I don't think so. Personally I figure if the Rastas can have the weed as their sacriment I can have a 12 year old Macallans scotch as mine. LOL!

I don't see anything wrong with smoking pot if you don't do it everyday.

Smoking is bad for you period. But, I don't see it as a 'sin' per se. Just something you should avoid for the sake of your body.
I personally don't see smoking pot as being any different than drinking. But the issue again is dependency. All things in moderation, including food.

I have to add an edit to my own post as this has been bugging me all day........
For the record, not that any of you will care but I felt the need to post it anyway,....I don't smoke pot!
