Folk Memory

Resident wacky hya...

If you didn't know there is a feature of the mind called memory. There's an idea called, 'folk memory', which I plan to exploit in my grand lunacy.

Folk memory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's a term one could use for past lives and memory to tell tales.

Neadnerthals = Dwarves

Blew my mind, wide running belief they're Dwarves or Trolls.

Sorry about the fbook drop, love the guy.

I believe in the inconceivable idea the Jotun were flesh and blood giants.

Some believe in cosmic beings, I can bring it right down to Midgard. There's bound to be truth in it, why a farce had taken place for the sake of Catholicism is interesting.

With that I can prove no evidence of illusive Elvs. Some poeple grow pointy ears, maybe they faced a genocide? Perhaps the Vanir were killed off, golden lochs of hair are rare. The High Elves and Vanir or are are not the same, I do not know.

Mankind routinely goes through ethnic cleansing, now let's wonder was killed off already. It's what all deformities are from cross breeding, interbreeding, biracial breeding.

The principles of breeding in horses for instance apply to Man. The medical industry will have us depend on their work in pharmaceuticals to fix our generics which game from vertablw deities.

Scientists or whomever seemingly downplay how mighty our ancestors were. I'm not saying 'we're' becoming weak, it's bound to occur. It's something Man has to take into note but it looks like genetics is in your own hands, at least.

One disgrace after the next in America, got to get the approach right toward the ancestors. The were dumb, fillthy beasts that worshipped animals and tress is what I growed up learning.

God damn sundae school. Adam & Eve and the fruit of pure evil, pure evil, son. I used to listen to it a 6th time NO ADAMA, DON'T DO IT.

Now is Earth Midgard or Yggdrasil? Yggdrasil would be a beautiful name of the planet. There are many theories I'm not going to support, you can search for yourself. Midgard was Europe and Asgard was very ancient and well sacred kingdom. But, I don't know what the truth is, I just learned of these things. I think Utgard was in Germany...

We can't have people running a muck thinking immortality is real and controlled, I suppose.

How are neanderthals the dwarves? That doesn't make sense. From what I understand, dwarves were basically the dark elves.

And there's really only so far that Folk Memory can go back to.

I think it's plausible. It might be the same way that stories of dragons come up all over the world. Ancient peoples may have found the fossilized bones of megafauna, including dinosaurs, and began the myths of dragons. Neanderthals were short and stocky, leaving plenty of remains in caves (where do trolls and dwarves live?) to be easily discovered by peoples far more in tune with the world than we are. From these things that the ancients couldn't explain come our myths, i.e. folk tales and lore, true or fanciful.

Go on Thorbjorn, I would like to hear more.

Placing them in the ages of metallurgy is difficult when there is no evidence. If remains were found with them alongside metallurgy that would be a breakthrough.

Particularly for me. I could jack my e-pene some more among the numerous things I've been right about.

It seem's I am the only mother f-cker in teh unerverse that's believing Neanderthal's was Dwarves... It's such a silly thing.

People just can't seem to manifest the faculties to put works on their shoulders or no, It doesn't get as dumb as that.

Faculties don't magically give birth to knowledge not had from nothingness.

Such knowledge must come from elsewhere.

Faculties process knowledge. They don't create it.

Dwarf, as I understand, can potentially refer to the wight from Lore, but it could just as easily refer to short people. I don't deny that neanderthals could have been the original inspiration for the wight we call dwarves, what I question is what information there is, that I clearly don't have, that makes such a possibility worth pursuing? 50,000 years is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time; too long, perhaps, even for folk memory, which, without writing, is quite fragile.

Could just as easily be that the wight in question just refers to an old tribe of modern humans that was primarily made of short people, who was pretty much wiped out by other tribes before anyone could make a record of them.

It depends, if they found Neanderthal remains alongside metallurgy that would be fantastic.

Most people should have expulsions at the mere recognition Neanderthals could be Dwarves.

I'm not even into J.J.R Tolkien, the thought was just something I picked up a few years ago.

Why do people accept that they all died off 50,000 years ago, there could have been a few living along side man into earlier ages. If there were a living Neanderthal in Europe we'd know about his antics.

You could probably not really tell the difference between Neanderthal and Human. Accept that Neanderthal strength, bone wrenching power with squeaky muscles.

It sucks they died off, they seem awesome as hell. Except random acts of cannibalism, nothing but a little eternal damnation.

People should love this god damn idea. The Neanderthals were extremely awesome, none the less. Quite epic they were... So god damn strong, that dwarf strength, it'll blow ya dick off, son. Kapow!

Nietzsche told me they were apes. Not even god damn monkey, maybe Orcs were apes.

You know, I'm coincidentally right more often than not about a lot of ****. Give it time, all these progressives are going to look like fools, monotheists aside..

It's not the worst though, the world is becoming a civil place again, spare the world war 3 headed by Vladimir Putin, the sass of Mother Russia who's surprisingly not dead yet.

Anyway, drawn and quartered, crucified, burned at the stake or drowned. It's a sick ****ing world by any standard.

This is may be the sickest place in the universe.

I honestly can never tell when you're being serious...

It's no one's place to determine what others should or shouldn't get excited about, first of all. I agree, neanderthals are awesome, but it's not my place to tell people who aren't so enthused about them that they should be.

Second of all, we don't know exactly what happened to the neanderthals. We do know, however, that many people in parts of Europe and Asia have neanderthal DNA, indicating that in some way, they do still live in us. Beyond that, 50,000 years is a rough estimate, not an exact date.

We're not sure exactly where the term "orc" came from, but it's likely a reference to an old Anglo-Saxon (and by extension, perhaps pan-Germanc) God or group of wights associated with death. I, myself, think of orcs as bog-wights.

Humans are apes, by the way. Also, Tolkien didn't invent the modern Anglo-American image we have of dwarves. Far as I can tell, that comes largely from the Nibelungenlied/Der Ring Das Nibelungen.

We are not all apes...

Yes we are. It's the scientific classification that our species falls under. There is not a single human being on this earth who is not an ape, specifically great ape.

Those that do not share those views are branded racists or genetic freaks, it's something for the funny papers this world.

We're all guilty of branding people who don't share our views with derogatory or condescending labels and conceptions. This aspect of human behavior is irrelevant.

Perhaps it's easier this way for the gods is what I'm thinking, painful for us and them though. I'm quite convinced they're real, cashing in on schizophrenia, it's a pretty sweet deal, unless I'm some aught punished for it in that coincidental way by sadist people.

That's just me, River Wolf, I'm not really an admirer of yours and I have little contrast, manic depression, eh.

That's cool. I don't seek admiration from everyone because such would be a fool's quest. And believe me, I do appreciate that you specify that these are just your views in these matters. But we're all free to challenge each other's views; that's how we all grow and learn.

I, too, believe the Gods are real, though our views of them are clearly quite different. You've said that you talk to them. Woden sings to me.

By the way, the Congo doesn't represent all of Africa. Be careful of the Single Story.

Neanderthals would fit somewhat the description of a dwarf. Shorter but stockier than we are and tended to be hardier. But I think it may be a coincidence.

People should be ecstatic with the idea.

I can't do anything with the Vanir or Elves other than they were killed off as well.

In the Edda the Dwarves were supposed to be a temporary presence from what I understood, Midgard was a realm dominated by Dragons and the Dwarves were supposed to hunt and kill them off.
