What do you miss about the old RF

There are a lot of new and even great features on the new RF here, My favorites are the Alert and delete post functions, but I still miss some of the old RF features.

1) The larger and more relevant smilies.

2) The religious affiliation of each member posted by their avatar.

3) The better delineation between each post and the "Post Reply" box.

4) The larger selection of fonts.

I realize this new upgrade may not be finished and there may be more tweaking to be done, so here's hoping these old ones will reappear.

How about you. Anything you miss?.

I miss the old style. I don't know why. No reasonable argument from me.

I don't miss the ridiculous frubal system. Glad that garbage is gone.

But I like the old look of the forums better than this.

However, I'm getting used to it. As I've learned where to click for my common options such as multiquoting, etc. I find it just fine I have to admit.

Just don't install some reputation system. I despise that nonsense. I find forums should be an exchange of ideas and arguments and not some nonsense for imbecilic backslapping.

I definitely miss the eros room, and the LGBT room. As well as having any idea of what I am doing. I feel like they are trying to make a Facebook knock-off now.

I'm So used to scrolling down to the bottom of th screen to see what threads hav been created or posted in! I know it's just over there on the side, but after ten years, man, it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks! I still keep scrolling to the bottom!

Maybe it's me being irrationally nostalgic, but the old RF seemed "warmer" in vibe or atmosphere. The same people are here but it the old format and aesthetic seemed more welcoming. Not sure what we can do about it, but that observance has persistent in my thoughts.

I think there's been a big growth in non-Christian participants here who are making a lot of Eastern religion DIR threads, increasing the antisocial atmosphere of "unless you're one of us we don't want your input" that comes with DIRs. All of which I believe has dampened the more congenial and warmer ambiance we once had in the old RF.

It could simply be just my personal observance again but it seems to me that people here and elsewhere (Facebook) are becoming more intolerant of other's beliefs or interests, in general. I'm not sure if it's because the relative anonymity of posting online causes people to be braver about expressing their opinions or what. What I'm seeing, though, is people who claim to be "open minded" are usually the worst offenders for throwing criticism at others. At least that's the recent trend I've noticed. Take that statement as you will.

So in the spirit of peace and harmony can I join both the theists only and non-theists only private forums. I don't believe in the principle of non-contradiction

Is it possible to view postings I once had frubals earned?

I realize my post work has changed and review of previous effort helps....a little.

I miss the listing of threads that you posted in and the flags that alerted you that a new post was made. In this new rf, I have all the alerts turned on, but new threads in these posts don't show as alerts.
