What Is Love?

Old thread, but what the hey...
Varying definitions for love depending on whether we're talking about a friend, a child, a spouse, a neighbor. For my spouse...putting his *needs* before my *desires*...and being happy to do so.

Someone here commented that love can erode. I agree. It takes work to keep that love alive...and acceptance that the love you 'evolve' over time.

Love is when we consider the welfare of another person to be equal to our own. Even more, if possible.
To wish them the best, no matter what that means.
