The geneology describes Joseph's lineage, who has no blood relation to Jesus if immaculate conception is accurate. So, how is he descended from David?

And what is your point? Other than, you believe these are messianic prophesies, and obviously, you believe they have been fulfilled. Is there supposed to be a question here or a topic you would like to discuss?

I was addressing May's post. You'll never get an arguement out of me defending the messiahship of Jesus! I agree with you, his Davidic lineage is very questionable.

The generally-accepted thought is that Jesus inherited the bloodline of David through Joseph, his adoptive father. Jesus, being the "firstborn" male child, would own the birthright.

The Gospel accounts of Matthew and Luke confirm that Jesus came through that family line. (Matthew 1:1-16; Luke 3:23-38) Though Jesus had many bitter enemies, none of them challenged his well-publicized line of descent. (Matthew 21:9, 15) Clearly, then, his lineage is beyond question.

Jesus' lineage can certainly be called into question. However, even if Josef were not his "true" father, he would be adopted into the tribe of Judah (Josef's tribe). According to Halacha Josef would be required to adopt the child. As we know from Halacha, once adoption takes place the child is forevermore of that tribe.
It is interesting that the Christian books of Luke and Matthew differ, presumably Luke is indicating the lineage of Jesus' mother?
I have taken a couple of minutes to reference these "Christian" prophecies. Very interesting interpretation.
