"And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
(Luke 4:9-12)

It was Jesus who did not want to tempt God. And so Jesus is telling the idiot that Jesus is not about to go doing something stupid, like jumping off of a cliff, while expecting His Father to save Him.

Although Jesus is the Son of God, Jesus at this point in time was indeed a man. And when men jump off high cliffs, they tend to die. That's what's supposed to happen. We don't tempt God by jumping off cliffs without parachutes.

God shows us from the scriptures that there are three, and the three are One and the same.

When you look it up in Greek, it is something different than your trinitarian beliefs. "...... of the appearance of the glory of the great God and saviour of us Jesus Anointed." Jesus IS the glory of God. This is not saying that Jesus is Yahweh.

Indeed, this is what I got, "Awaiting the blessed hope, and (the) appearing of the glory of the great God and Savior of us, Christ Jesus"
Titus 2:13 Greek Text Analysis

Seems to be saying that we are awaiting a blessed hope, which is to say that we are awaiting the appearing of the glory of the great God and Savior of us, and that that blessed hope and glory of the great God and Savior is indeed Christ Jesus.

Looks like you're right to me. Nice job.

You can't rely on all English translations of the Bible. You really need to look at all angles, and most importantly the verses as they were written in the languages that they were written in. It's easy to misinterpret stuff. We need to be certain of what's being said. It's important.

We do not need to learn another language to know God's Truth. We do not need to study another language to know God's Truth.

That is precisely what I did and always do. I still come up with the same conclusion. Jesus is referred to here as God and Savior.

Are you saying God is coming and Jesus is coming? Are you saying we are going to see two different Saviors?

Isn't Jesus being referred to as the great God and Savior here?

I'm also seeing THE great God and Savior of us, Jesus Christ.

Doesn't THE refer to one?

And why doesn't the verse say Saviors?

You misunderstand my point.

Someone (can't remember who) said Satan never tempted God.

I posted the verse to show that Satan was indeed tempting God.

Satan tells Jesus to jump. He says go ahead; God will command His angels to take care of you.

Jesus answers him. You must not test the Lord your God.

Jesus says Satan is testing God.

I posted this verse for the sole purpose of showing that Satan was testing God.

Notice that you do not even acknowledge the scriptures that I gave. You merely reply with scriptures to nullify scripture. You cannot nullify the scriptures. The scriptures says Jesus raised himself.

I thought I explained that to you--deut 32:4--ALL of Gods ways are justice--there would be 0 justice if God died and bought back what Adam had lost--justice says--a sinless--MORTAL had to die, not God it wouldn't have been fair--- As Gods word teaches truth--while Jesus was here--HE WAS MADE---LOWER---THAN THE ANGELS.=== truth.

Jesus was MADE lover than the angels...that tells us that Jesus was HIGHER than the angels.

Not at all--- if God sent a spirit angel down here as a mortal-he thus is lower than the angels--he never had to be higher than an angel to become lower than one.

What? That completely doesnt make sense!! Jesus was made lower than that angels showing us that he was like us, except God was his Father. Jesus was then elevated by his Father to higher than the angels. Jesus was made like his brethren. Like us in nature. (Heb 2) He had to be like that. He had to conquer sin in the flesh (flesh nature). Paul and Peter even preached that. He was a man. The son of God.

I have given you scriptures that plainly say Jesus CAME FROM HEAVEN.

Hebrews 1:5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?

The answer is none. For God did not say that to any of the angels.

You are correct--God said it to a mortal-Jesus. never to anyone before.
