What does same-sex marriage have to do with religion?

Yeshe Dondrub

So...? Do you compare yourself with those self-fertilizing plants or dozens of homosexual animals? Where are the virtues of humans, the family and the society? Just imagine a community in which all members live on a same-sex basis... Will they buy children to make life happier? And even if they could bring children, they'll never 'feel' their off-spring...

Part of trying to discuss a topic is having wisdom , compassion, understanding, and not trying to be right so much, that you contradict yourself.

There are many faiths and religions, some far older then your own. No matter how you try to change that. Imposing on their beliefs is wrong. With no tangible proof, other then untested writings, you can't prove it. If you could prove it, it would no longer be a faith.

It was written in the OT to reflect god's will , that all his will is written in nature and his creation. That would contradict other claims, since in nature, and in creation, Homosexuality is a normal, needed aspect. That pairs of same sex partners bond, and most bond for life.

However that is your faith.

We are not talking entire communities of the same sex. Attempting to reflect it that was is not correct, nor a wisdom based reflection. You simply conceived another extreme side. It instantly appears as illogical.

You are no god. So do not speak of judgment you can not have. You are not an enlightened being, so take the time to pause, think, see with compassion, wisdom, before speaking. Understand you can not decide for others, nor tell them what is wrong with their lives.

Procreation is not a good excuse. There are many abandoned children due to irresponsible actions. They need homes. We do don't need more poor choices in having children.

Insert: Before hitting the post key , I should add, procreation aspects are good when planned, in some cases it was not, but parents are responsible in the care. Those who are not is an example where the balance gets thrown off. More should consider adoption as well when deciding on more children.

n the comment about being able to change sex as humans. That would be an interesting ability for some Buddhist who practice various Tara meditations.

Flip the question and it makes more sense:

Q. - What does religion have to do with same-sex marriage?
Well, in America, the religious freedom of many religious groups is being trampled. They aren't permitted to wed their same sex couples because the government panders to idiots who insist that all religious people are hateful.

Thankfully, the tide is finally turning, but there are still too many states clinging to the wrong side of history.
