Meaning of Allahu Akbar (God is greater):

Imam al-Sadiq asked a man who said ‘Allah is Greater’ (Allahu Akbar), ‘Greater than what?’ So the man replied, ‘Greater than everything’, to which Imam retorted, ‘Then you have defined Him.’ The man then asked him, ‘So what should I say?’ Imam replied, ‘Say: Allah is too great for description (i.e. greater than our descriptions).’

A man who was with Imam Hussain said “Allahu akbar”. So he said: Allah is greater than which thing? So he said: From everything. So Abu `Abdillah Imam Hussain said: You have limited Him. So the man said: How should I say? So he said: Allah is greater than that He be described'

the targeted audience of this message is the true Muslims ...it aims at encouraging them to defend Islam against ISIL and its likes...some non-Muslims may misunderstand it...and there is a need to explain to them that Islam is peaceful, however this doesn't mean that we should not defend ourselves and our religion against the criminal groups.

Your statement is misleading. I don't want to start a debate here, but keep in mind that after the death of the prophet there was the turning back and Ahlulbayt were killed by the Sahaba.

Also those who studied Islam well know that the prophet himself was killed.

“Do not be people without minds of your own, saying that if others treat you well you will treat them well and that if they do wrong you will do wrong. But (instead) accustom yourselves to do good if people do good and not to do wrong if they do evil.” ——— Prophet Muhammad (s) as reported in Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1325.

I don't know about this one. An eye for an eye, in other words?

Ahlulbayt (a.s.) have called us to forgive those who wrong us and to return evil with good. However in certain situation the righteous people need to stand up against tyranny, oppression and injustice, and they need to face the power of Evil with power if needed and need to be ready to sacrifice for their values if required.
