it just shows you whats happening on RF. I can browse threads and profiles etc at the same time. and it gives snippets.

I have to agree it's not on par with the old format.
Even the Google search engine puts out a 404 error for some search terms and i miss the archives unless it's still accessible through a feature i haven't found yet. The staff says things are temporary still and improvements underway.

Here is a question: for some reason, I now have on the right side of my screen the "Hot topics" etc which is normally at the bottom of the screen. How and why? Is that just me? How do you get it to the bottom again??

There appears to be a new bar there now also... on it is an small arrow at an angle.. it is quick navigation which is handy

I've just learned how to split up a member's quote into separate paras..... you highlight the para you want to separate, then click on 'insert' and several function options appear, one of which is: 'quote'.... click on that and your chosen lump of paras is inserted into quote format as in the old system.
But you all knew that anyway, and I'm a whole year behind..... I know... I know.... t'was ever my fate.....
I don't see as many smiley options as before, but, there again, I'll bet that there are many more, once I've figured the little b-ggers out.

Can we upload our own photographs now, straight on to our posts? I always wanted to be able to do that, without having to open a 'photo-bucket' account, upload to photobucket, gain a URL, copy URL........ yuk!

Thankyou. But I have placed my cursor over every icon, and no icon shows 'upload a file'.
From 'smilies', they run image, media, insert, xen media, drafts, undo, redo. ...... is it one of those?

just checking in to see what the progress is ?
sadly to say I cant access any DIR's and all of links under DIR's lead me to a blank screen saying ...404 not found ...?
OK 404 is quite a pleasing number but it is getting a little boring seeing it so often , ....
only way I can link to any thread is if it comes up in the new, hot or liked topics ?
Oh well , ...will check progress again next week .....
however here are some nice Bhajans to listen to whist waiting for normal service to be resumed ...
