from our pal Jack Chick :)

chick.com/catalog/tractlist.asp

clik the link to read the little tracts

some of these are emotionally scary as author does not shy away from negative aspects of humanity

I don't like the blatant anti-Catholic stuff, but otherwise these are cool

also has color comics but can't read those online

blatant anti-Catholic stuff? Try blatant anti-everything-but-what-he-believes stuff.
There is things against the Muslims, Jews, LDS, Pagans, Halloween, etc. etc. etc. I think these are absolutley riduclous.

For example, the comic entitled http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0045/0045_01.asp

Bewitched

is laughable at the least.

How they potray this young girl named Ashley, when she is doing drugs is reminicisnent of bad 60's shows. How interest in Astrology, etc. etc. will lead you straight to the devil.

How they portray the medium. It's all a bit funny, but unforutnatley there are many people who believe these sad little tracts and the ignorant masses won't know the difference.

I've seen these. Absolutely vile. I'd rather my child got ahold of pornography than this crap.

That author cleary doesn't know much about Druids, withcraft, Catholicism, Islam, or anything else that he doesn't believe. Maybe me and Druidus should get togother this Halloween and go "door to door kidnaping people to make human sacrifices."

I agree. C-R-A-P. I don't think any other word in the English language describes it better. Personally, I think it should be against the law for these people to breed.

I didn't, but I'm going to guess the author claims that the demons control it, it teaches "real" occult stuff, and is much more than a fantasy game.

Yep. I actually went back to read it, it's pretty funny. How could anybody actually believe this is what I'm asking.

I read alot of comic books as a kid before graduating to non-picture books and these little tracts do a fairly good job of illustrating various Christian concepts along with plenty of scripture references. So far I've only skimmed a few of these 105 little gems I got for $15 and I'm looking forward to reading all of them :)

Yes the author is outspoken about Christian theology being opposed to many worldly issues, but is he misinterpreting the bible ?

Yes the author does seem to dwell on negative situations, but isn't that where Christianity is needed most of all ?

I believe is majorly misinterpreting it; stereotyping people, ethnic groups, religions, etc.; and unfortunatley making big bucks in the end.

Do you really believe that playin Dugeons and Dragons will lead you to the occult and you will become a witch/wizard/whatever and then it'll bring you down to hell? That's just one of his more interesting ones.

is a vast topic

back in college I knew some pretty weird d&d players, who knows where they ended up. now in my computer career I know some pretty weird computer gamers, who knows where they will end up later.

bottom line, yes I really do believe that participating in those cult like activities is anti-Christian. but it does give people a release for their feelings & energies that I definitely would rather have them doing in a game vs. acting out in reality

will those activities lead some people to hell ? yes I believe that too. but of course some people will be going to hell no matter what activities they engage in, even bible study. and then some people will end up in heaven even if they frequent strip bars & perpetrate criminal acts.

blah blah blah

thanks for reading :)

I did read it, and I am puzzled by how a book filled with numbers and a brief description of whatever is supposed to teach Occult subjects. And then someone taking D&D seriously enough to become suicidal when thier character dies is obviously made up, and based on nothing. And since when has Rock & Roll been considered Occult?
I have said it before, but it should be a requirement to do some actual research before you make such bold statements that make you look like an idiot.
