Testimony

"A strong testimony is the unshakable foundation of a secure, meaningful life where peace, confidence, happiness, and love can flourish. "—Elder Richard G. Scott
Ensign, Nov. 2001, 87

I found this quote today and really liked it, but I don't know if you want me to move it to the LDS forum since it was given by a memeber of my Church, but I think this can pertain to all Christians.

And what has this to do with the post?

i do agree with the statement. i see allot of people once they go though a trail they loose all faith in god. i see this sometimes in my church not often, but i do see it in alot of other churches more often then it should be. and the reason why is they don't have a strong testimony or they give in to the ideas of the world, thus leading then to condemnation (being cut off from the sprit of god ) thus losing there willingness to go to church. a testimony is everything without it the lds church would not be here, each member has a testimony of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope a lot of other lds members agree with me... on the importance of a testimony...

i should also add not everything is to a strong or weak testimony, in the lds church its because of the testimony not growing. and the devil temps us into condemnation for his own gain and to stop us from reaching God the father, and this can happen to the strongest of testimonies...

a testimony is a personal wetness to the sprit of god about the divinity of God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. its a large part of spiritual growth. if anyone would like to add on be my guest... this is large subject and i know i missed some key parts...
