Why do muslims hate democracy

Maybe this means the title of the thread is wrong/misleading? I'm Muslim and I don't hate democracy.
I believe the title is better as Why Don't Muslim Countries Support Democracy or something like that.
It kinda hurts when one is generalized like that :(
Aye, it is only a tendency being discussed. Individuals will, of course, vary.
I know many Xians who want a more authoritarian government. But I know
many more who like democracy. (I don't know what the ratio would be.)
So tis good you're here to mitigate the stereotype of the anti-democratic Muslim.

But there is one thing I detest about you....you're always using words to say things!

Religion is for ethical, moral and spiritual uplift of human beings. It has got nothing to do with the temporal/secular/worldly realms until they obstruct its way.

Regards

Interesting....I have a similar view.
I've no problem with religion until it gets in the way of liberty, commerce & peace.

Sorry. I'm not saying all are like that. I have heard news of progressiveness, like there where news of a nobel prize winner for school to educate women in Pakistan "Malala"

Still some have anti western feeling that she may get ideas from the west. According to the news, so some Pakistanis may have this anti western culture feeling. But it may lead to benefits without it going completely overboard, it sounds naive to fear it so much and rather just see benefits of what is for the best of a country in my opinion. I mean i don't see why they should feel threatened by ideas that is not trying to harm people to say the least. That's just my opinions on it.

But like i didn't mean to generalize all people. Sorry if you felt that way ^^

It's okay, it is the title of the thread that I was referring to :)

I only like to get honest with people and tell them how I feel instead firing back. I'm not holding any bad feelings.

Youtube is blocked here in the office. I'll watch it when I get back home. Thanks for the link.

Well, you know what they say, if the road is know, the casino is...um...

Anyways, I think you get the point. If you don't, here it is: ===> .

Actually science has proved that each man has freewill. So humans are perfectly capable of deciding for themselves without being influenced by anyone.
One more thing: if you see that people are promiscuous, you should consider yourself better than them, and be happy for it.

Response: Actually, nothing in science says free will prevents one being influenced. And one who promotes what is best for society does not stand on a pedestal and look at their self as being better than others, but wants everyone to be equal with him/her in acheiving what is best as well.

The Abrahamic religion are wrong, there are solid proof of that if you see the documentary "The Bible's Buried Secrets"

You can also check with archaeological findings on wikipedia if you search "old israel".
Israelites were originally canaanites that always lived in the land of Israel all the time, they didn't become monotheists before after the Babylonian exile, thats when Judaism really started.

The story about Joshua conquering israel is just a story and not real, so is that of Moses and Abraham. The story with the philistines and so forth is the only part which is about right in historical terms with a few errors.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all false. There. Problem solved. Have a nice day :)

Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world. Hindus have maintained their integrity and defended their beliefs against foreign interference. It is a transcendental religion and the world is so much better for it.

actually I don't want to be equal to others. I mean, all of us deserve the same opportunities but we all are unique and unrepeatable beings.
for example: there are women who want to get married and to become mothers. There are other women who chase men and want to sleep with the gorgeous and hot ones, without wasting time on marriage.
both choices are respectable and don't harm anyone

Most, if not all evidence, suggests free will is illusory. Scientific evidence that you probably don?t have free will

There is a glimmer of hope in the uncertainty of brain static-- but, I'm betting free will won't be found there either. Give it another couple years.
Is Free Will an Illusion? - Pacific Standard: The Science of Society

Your quote mining and its a bit pathetic.

from your article

But not everyone agrees with the conclusions of these findings. Free will, the skeptics argue, is far from debunked.

So your wrong.

I didn't quote anything.. But, I can if you'd like. --I'm wrong because the "skeptics" say so.. You're quote mining is the only thing truly pathetic here. Try actually quoting something containing evidence.

The article deal with doctors being able to see the answer before the patient knows it by brain scans.

It Is only showing the mechanics of thought.

It is factual evidence thought only originates in the brain, that the soul mythology does not exist.

FACT is freewill still stands

What is free will, Outhouse? Because your definition obviously isn't the same as the person I originally responded to.. And if you acknowledge that decisions are created in the brain before they are even conscious, it must be a very interesting definition. Your FACT still hasn't been supported by evidence.. And I'm surprised considering 'evidence' may be one of your favorite words.. So I'll trust that you have it somewhere.
