John the Baptist accepted Islam

No, I don't think Islam is a land or a tribe or a person. Islam is a religion, distinct in its forms, structures, beliefs, and ways of forming community, from other religions. It's perspective of God is distinct from and irreconcilable with other religious perspectives.

Those changes was made by humans, they misled the others.
Such as the pharisees in Jesus time, they had misled people.

Because that's what Islam is, you cannot state that John the Baptist embraced Islam for a couple of reasons:
1) Islam did not exist when John was alive.

How can you know that ?

2) John was a Jew -- not a Muslim.

Did you ask him ?

Sojourner: "The sun is hot."

Fear God: "How do you know? Were you there?"

Yesterday my wife told me to go and do the shopping.
'Never!', I replied.
She beat me up. I surrendered.
Where can I go and get a Koran? I have submitted! :)

You have surrendered to her and not to God except if you are a slave to her then you have to keep bowing  otherwise she'll forbid you from her paradise. ;)
The quran won't be of any help to you.

Congratulations on another fine train-wreck of a thread, FearGod. Personally, I think you are doing an awesome job. Keep up the good work.

I think it can be only a train wreck of a thread for those who is a birdbrain.

Good that you believe so.
So you believe Jesus is just a human sent by God.
Good morning:) Yes I believe Jesus was a human, but not just any human. He was a perfect human.Just like Adam and Eve were before the fall.Jesus exited before he was human. He was a spirit form.He was placed in Mary's womb by God the Almighty and born of holy spirit.

We're "bird brains" for knowing that Muhammad and the Quran came about 500 years after the ministry of John the Baptist? Ok then, have fun believing a lie.

Yes Muhammed and the quran came about 500 years after John the baptist but not Islam ( Paradidomi) which was the real name that altered by people to Christianity and before it Judaism and similarly Bahai altered Islam to another new name but we were able to trace it because it happened recently but if it happened thousands of years ago then the truth will be lost.

John the Baptist was a Jew. Muhammad, who is the prophet of Islam and to whom the Qur'an was allegedly dictated over a period of decades by Allah (god), so that the oral tradition of Islam was 'born', was himself born in 570 CE.

While i was reading some verses in the bible in its Arabic form i came to
one verse which doesn't give the same meaning as in the English bible.

It is Matthew 4:12 which says in English that John the baptist was captured
and Jesus then started to deliver his message to the public.

Matthew 4:12
When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee.

In Arabic form it says that John the baptist accepted Islam and not as in English
was put in prison or captured.

means accepted Islam or became a Muslim

See the meaning for the Arabic word

I investigated the greek word in matthew 4:12 and found it to have
the meaning of surrendering which is the same meaning for Islam in Arabic.

Matthew 4:12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been taken into custody, He withdrew into Galilee;

I am so hurt by your comment. :D

A Muslim is a person who follows Islam. In order to become a Muslim one must recite the Shahada.

lā ʾilāha ʾillā-llāh, muhammadun rasūlu-llāh
There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God.
Given that the Shahada did not exist at the time of John the Baptist, logically, it is meaningless to claim that John the Baptist practiced Islam. Further, one is not considered to be a Muslim or a follower of Islam if all they recite is,
There is no god but God.

Have a nice day
