The Trinity

No one in the church believed it was false, neither did I.

We all believed that we were complete 100% authentic Christians. My point is, you can't know if your religion is the 100% correct Christian faith based on your own opinion only, and there's not enough documents to really give us a proper idea what the original Christians really were.

Our church considered JW's to be false and deluded by Satan. We most definitely did not believe we were part of this world.

Our church wasn't a friend with the world. Not one bit. It stood up for Biblical views and beliefs in society and fought against teaching evolution in school, and much more. We also did a lot of mission work in Russia and Europe.

I'm quite certain anyone in my old church would consider you a heretic and a follower of a false Christian version.

Too sad, isn't it? Every Christian consider himself to be the true believer and thinks that everyone else is false.
#1 Of course no one there thought it was false. But theres a difference between what you believe and what is truth according to scripture.

#2. Of course they did.Everyone pretty much does because the beliefs of the JW's does not line up with their false doctrines and man made beliefs.

#3 Any organization that votes for politicians, joins wars and kills in the name of a country, practices false holidays, celebrates birthdays, uses false idols like the cross in worship etc.. are friends of this world which belongs to satan. These things do not originate with God.

Yeah it is sad every "so called" Christian considers themselves to be the true believer and thinks that everyone else is false. But,if your beliefs do not line up with what is said in the holy scriptures, the NT,then they are no Christian at all. They are part of Christendom, which is counterfeit Christianity.

Of course JW's preach about Jesus.Jesus is the way and the one who died for us.Jesus is not God though.Jehovah God is the Almighty, not Jesus. So it is Jehovahs name that is declared.

Luke 18:19 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone.

This is a rhetorical question by Jesus. Of course Jesus is Good, unless you are saying He is bad! And because He is good that makes Him God because no one but God is truly good...just as the scriptures say.

Psalm 83:18 King James Bible
That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Exodus 6:3 King James Bible
And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Isaiah 26:4 King James Bible
Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Isaiah 12:2 King James Bible
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Jesus is not God.Thats why.
[/quote]

Problem is you are interpreting the scriptures through the lens of the Watchtower and missing the entire revelation of the gospels and epistles concerning the identity of Jesus Christ who revealed Himself as Yahweh (Jehovah) in the Hebrew scriptures, but is revealed as Jesus Christ in the NT. Jehovah=Jesus

“Look to Me, and be saved,
All you ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
I have sworn by Myself;
The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness,
And shall not return,
That to Me every knee shall bow,
Every tongue shall take an oath. Isaiah 45:22-23

... let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:10-12

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil. 2:9-11

I can't deal with people like you. You sound exactly like my old church group of people. I hate what fundamentalism and group-think does to people, and how it infects the mind of good people.

To save myself from frustration and irritation, I'm putting you on ignore. I don't see you and I have much to share with each other.

Muffled

Jesus in me
The Bible, for me is allegorical.

Astro-theology is also another way I read the Bible.

I have no time for church scholars or their conditioned interpretations of what is in the Bible.

Namaste,

I believe you understanding of allegory and the Bible are lacking. Pilgrims Progress is an allegory because it is a fictional story to personify spiritual values. I believe the Bible to be inspired of God and therefore not fiction and it is rare when spiritual values are personified but that may take place in some parables.

I believe that is an interesting view. How does it work and why would it be relevant?

I believe you are saying that you wish to remain uneducated and uninformed which begs the question as to why read posts here.

Amen!

Muffled

Jesus in me
Jesus was never called Gods son until he was baptized--Then God spoke and said---This is my son the beloved in whom I am well pleased--listen to him.
Jesus teaches he has a God--his Father--- do you believe---God has a God?

I believe God is His own God and He is not going to deny Himself.

I believe coincidence does not prove association.

The Trinity doctrine is a clear example of how politics affected the creation of Christianity. It was the heavy handiness of the Roman Emperor Constantine that ended an important debate that pushed the Trinity doctrine as the prevailing belief of Christians. Constantine needed as many Pagans possible converted to Christianity as soon as possible. He intervened and silenced the Arius branch of Christianity, that believed Yeshua( Jesus ) was less than God and not the son, and went with the version that would appeal to Pagans, multi Gods.

I attempt to live an authentic life, and I avoid the toxicity of most organised religions. If that makes me uneducated and uninformed then I am doing something right!

The Bible is the word of Man.

I read the posts here for solely entertainment purposes!

'most' organized religions? Why not all?

You don't have to answer that, it's pretty much a rhetorical question.

religions are tools of mind control.
question everything.
due diligence is required especially for those attached to a religious belief.

drop all beliefs and undress from man made deceit.

What did "true Christians" do for the first 400 years of the church's existence, when there was no bible to guide them? Hmm?

One is God inspired and the other is fabricated with additional books. There is no "heavenly messenger named Moroni" in the holy scriptures inspired by God.
There is no internet in the holy scriptures, either. It is not inspired by God, but by people, yet you use it to research religious facts and to proselytize. Shame on you!

I just noticed that the message was not even for you.Wow! Why are you talking? You should just mind your business, and do not engage me anymore in conversation, if you are hurt by words.I really don't want to speak to you anyway. You always approach me.Just carry on....

For those who are less sanctimonious, this wouldn't even be an issue.

Yes many think that Jehovahs Witnesses is a religion.Jehovahs Witnesses practice true Christianity, as did the 1st century Christians, who followed Christ.Thats what separates the JW's from all the other so called Christian groups. No trinity,no idols,no false holidays,no joining wars,no voting etc..

So JW's are Christians. They just call themselves Jehovahs Witnesses to separate themselves from the rest. They declare Gods name and are witnesses to His Word.Isaiah 43:10 “You are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah,
“Yes, my servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and have faith in me
And understand that I am the same One.
Before me no God was formed,
And after me there has been none.

Are Jehovah

Maybe it's time to start following, instead of practicing.

Im sorry to hear about your experience with false religion. My family used to be Catholics. It was not until we all saw what Catholicism, and other religions, were doing, and not in accordance with what the holy scriptures actually says, that my family started studying with the JW's.Those that are part of this world are not part of Gods arrangement.

James 4:4You adulterous people,[a] don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

You use the term "holy" when referring to the scriptures. I'm wondering why. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would like to know what you mean when you call something holy. What is it about the scriptures that makes them holy? What is required in order for something or someone to be holy?
Are you holy?

Are you suggesting that God never has spoken to nor ever will speak to anyone except the 40 authors of the present day accepted canon of the Bible?

Control yourself. Please sister act right. You are letting everyone see how you really are and its not good. You are cursing and saying very bad things to me.You have let satan creep into your head and you are speaking very badly. Please try to conduct yourself accordingly. Its alright.Just carry on and take a break.Go get some water or a bite to eat.Have a beer or some wine. Its ok.Everything will be alright.Just please do not let yourself say anything else bad.

I have seen few people here as condescending as you are being here. Indeed, you have crept into her head, and she doesn't seem to like it.

"Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it."
(Romans 14:3-6)

I personally am thankful for my life. I thank God for all he has given me, including my life, and so I celebrate my life on my birthday, as well I celebrate the lives of all my dear loved ones on their birthdays, and I even celebrate the life of my Savior. While I might not know the actual date of Jesus' birth, I do know he was born, and I can celebrate Him coming into this world, Thank God, on any day I choose. If I knew his birthday, I'd celebrate His birth on that day, but honestly, give me a reason to celebrate, and I will celebrate. I welcome every occasion to give thanks to God.
