It's often said to be because of Einstein's model of 3 spatial dimensions and 1 time dimension. There is a theoretical 4th spatial dimension though, and I find it a very interesting concept to play with. If there is a revealed actual 4th dimension that our reality applies to it would explain a lot and after we learn how to interact with it (probably indirectly) we could do a LOT of things: Get plenty of energy sources by moving energy from other places in the third dimension through the forth, and come to another place in the third dimension.

There are some people, that aren't common from what I seen anyway, that work time as a spatial dimension itself, but I don't think it works.

One concept I find interesting about the 4th spatial dimension is that there is someone sitting in the same exact place you currently are, but only in another point in the 4th dimension.

LOL, I never even thought of that. It would be igniting a tornado on one side, and I guess a bunch of wind on the other.
